Perhaps its obvious but I've been watching Meg Ryan romantic comedies on repeat these days...There's just something about those movies that makes living in a city during Springtime seem like the coziest, most feel-good thing ever! I felt inspired and decided to make the most of a Spring day out and about in the city 🌸 This vlog features my very best friend Randi Lynn Reed, an abundance of flowers, a cozy café & fresh market, plus some baking.

🌸A bit about the Portland Japanese Cherry Blossom trees:
The Cherry Blossom trees in Downtown Portland are part of the Japanese American Historical Plaza- The Plaza is a memorial to Issei and to the 120,000 men, women, and children held against their will in camps during WWII. Third-generation Japanese-American Robert Murase designed the plaza landscape and the sculptures and granite stones decorating it, which feature poetry by Hisako Saito, Lawson Inada, Masaki Kinoshita and Shizue Iwatsuki. Hey Morgan, I just wanted to share the wonderful news with you. 💓💗💓 On 28.3. my little girl, our baby Grace, was born. At 2:09 a.m. at night. She is 54 cm tall and 4110 g. She has golden blonde hair, she is so beautiful and a laid back patient baby...just lovely, we are so thankful to have her. And her three older siblings are also in love with her. I have always rushed past the cherry blossoms. Looking at them for a second as I'm driving past them, thinking how beautiful they are. But this year I finally took the time to actually take a longer look at the trees. Especially now that my little boy is 2,5 years old. Teaching him to look up at the wonders above is head is so magical! This video brought that moment back ❤. Also how you filmed those people and dogs reminded me of 101 Dalmatians, so cool! 😊

What a beautiful gift this was! I hoarded it until I had the perfect time to watch, and found it so uplifting. I struggle with feelings of shame over how small my life is, so your words are so encouraging. For anyone with negative voices in your head, try confronting them instead of pushing them away. Often they are trying to protect us from further hurt but doing it in the worst way possible, and need training to be helpful instead of hurtful.
