Fun fact: Drew Barrymore was promoted to be the main character of the movie in all the ads and commercials because she was initially going to be, she was really popular at the time but it was her idea to have her character die first to trick audiences who came to see her!
@Dai.Natreacts8 ай бұрын
she had a great idea cause it definitely shocked us! but i’m sure some people were disappointed at the fact they thought she was going to be in all the movies lol
@novelprojunkie95898 ай бұрын
@catstir2778. Your Fun fact is inaccurate. It wasn't Drew Barrymore's idea to have her character die. The screenwriter already had Casey Becker died in the script. Drew Barrymore was supposed to play Neve Campbell's role but she changed her mind and decided that Casey Becker's role was more interesting. The studio (marketing department) decided to fool the public that Drew Barrymore's character will be the lead of the film.

My best friend and me saw this when we were 13 in the theater and we were running around the house scared of every sound because my mama went out to dinner that night. She came home yelling about every light being on and we weren’t asleep at one o clock in the morning. The neighbors even knocked on the door because we kept screaming at every sound to make sure we were straight and safe. She laughed her but off when we told her we were just scared because of the movie and invited us to come to her house downstairs. Then we got suspicious of her. We needed up huddled together in the corner of the bed with two knives and ready for war.

The great thing about Scream was it was so self aware, in that it even though it is a serious subject it constantly refers to old Horror films and makes reference to the plot of them etc. It also spawned superb sequels, each on of them is great too and well worth a watch. You gotta do the sequels, the writing is just so clever. Wes Craven killing off the most famous person in the film in the first few minutes. I never comment and say this when I watch reaction videos and the reactors are shocked about doors being unlocked and blinds beings open but ya'll seem cool so I gotta say --- I live in a rural community, it was much smaller when I was growing up (I am 44) and we never locked our doors or closed the blinds/curtains till we went to bed. Now that I have a house of my own in the same town, I still sometimes forget to lock my front doors or even close the garage. It makes me sad that we all don't live in a place like this as Americans. I can say that the reason I can fall asleep with all my doors unlocked is because my town of 30,000 people, for the most part, grew up with the same values and we watch out for each other. Sorry for rambling, been holding it in with these reactions lol. If we take care of each other ya don't have to worry about forgetting to lock a door :) :) :) Take care of everyone!

Hey guys! Loved your reaction. You're also a beautifull couple! Drew Barrymore was in her early twenties when this came out. She is a Hollywood legacy actor- her grandfather was a big actor named John Barrymore. Drew has been acting since she was very small in Stephen King movies like Firestarter and Cat's Eye(which are pretty good-she was about 9yrs old then.) She used to party at studio 54 as a little kid w ppl like The Rolling Stones and Michael Jackson and everything. Wes Craven and Drew were also using The Alfred Hitchcock formula by getting rid of the biggest star very early in the movie.
