My friend bought a car in the day. When she drove it for first time at night, she saw that no lights came on dash lol. So she could never see how fast she was going at night lol. She got it from a used car lot too! They never said it had a short in electric.

I just don’t understand. I seriously thought it was basic common sense to test or check whatever you’re buying from a private seller. Of course if you buy brand new from a store, you can’t test it, but used from a private seller? So many of these cases are about not checking and just handing over hundreds or thousands. So naive

Exactly! She's grown, test drive it down the street to a random shop and pay for them to check it out. Before u pay. She's crazy. I had a place tried to sell me a car with a broken azz head gasket! They didn't know I was taking it to test drive down to the shop. Before I pulled out said hey gonna be awhile taking it to a mechanic. He tried to direct me to some place he knew probably his homie, I said thanks and drove the opposite way. Found a shop and less than 10 min, called me to garage and everyone there standing looking at all this light pink stuff just pouring out of car, said head gasket is already blown, do not buy this car.

I agree. For someone her age to but a car without test driving it or even seeing it in the daylight shows extreme short sightedness...a serious problem in our society today. And then makes a foolish attempt to sue the seller?!! Irresponsible and seriously uninformed.

I bought my first for $500, 2 broken struts , all 4 wheels were misaligned and had at least 2 missing shocks , and when the car wasn't moving it started to overheat cause it didn't have airflow on the engine, and I drove it for a year, I could of got 5 off hers 🤣

I agree, i was looking up examples of why she ruled differently because both cases are indeed similar. But i couldn't find anything that could help me understand and explain why she did what she did. Although, In my opinion based upon what i read, for examples i believe the judge rulling boils down to wording. Remember she said to her just because he said the car doesn't need anything it doesn't mean that's like a warranty. He was selling that 🚗 as is.
