Here is another sneak peak into what my days look like. My shop is not where I want it to be yet. Sometimes I'm a one man show. But one thing for sure, my wife is always by my side. And I love here for that.

The companies/banks always side with the customers, that can be a good thing, but not with sorry people like that. Sometimes it is a good thing to spend a day and enjoy your wife, sweet girl and keeping you in line, I can tell. (just like mine) I like the idea of videoing mounting and balancing tires, mainly to see if it is the same as it was many many moons ago when I did it for a Goodyear store. I want to see how yall deal with the TPMS systems too. Have a good one.

Love your videos and the honest info. I'm glad I found your video about the Rogue bc I was thinking about buying one. I looked through your videos but couldn't find one that had recommendations on which cars to buy. The only thing I found were comments about how much you like toyota and honda. I'd love to see a video where you talk about your top 10 or 20 cars - probably the cars you don't see in your shop!

8:05 I started as a tire, oil, and battery tech. Even though I knew more than the tech 3's and tech 4. Tech 4 was the shop manager. But as the newbie that's where I was put. That didn't last long. Offered tech 4 spot several times but declined it. Stayed as a tech 3. Then they had me training the new guys while doing my work. Got to the point I was working 12hrs day's bc another guy and myself were the only tech 3s. Got old fast. Got a job offer with the city fire dept, took that been doing that for 13yrs now.

@JoshuaFleming Hey, and that's what's up. I say do it. It has its ups and downs like any other job. But it is very rewarding in the long run. There are so many programs for us to get into. Now you're not going to be a millionaire, but you're going to be set. Many match savings up to a certain percentage for savings. Take advantage of it. Usually, the health benefits are great. Then y'all have ppl like us, "the old heads," fighting for even better for our future firefighters. I say do it, especially young. Depending on the department, you'll be retiring in your 50s. My projected retirement is 55. I'll be collecting my pension, 401k, and 453 retirement. Plus, a big one-time check bc I'm in this thing called mpda in our local FD around 70k. So don't think about, get in, move up in ranks, and you'll do great.

@@vbarbee1 I know this can vary by state (I live in Maryland), but what are the base requirements to becoming a firefighter? I’m 20 years old with a high school diploma. What can I do to be more prepared?

Not sure what happened here.. but when a credit card is "ran" over the phone the cc company may accept the dispute and refund the customer.. no matter how shady or shiesty the situation is and no matter how much documentation exists. - Nice channel. Nice work. I hit the like button. I might hit the other one too. 😊

Great video! When you have a vehicle that doesn’t start like the Truck. How can you tell if it’s the battery, starter, or Alternator? A video about that would be pretty cool if you have the time . Thanks!

There's a handheld tester now that can load test a battery to rule out a weak or dead cell, charging system test on the vehicle to see the max output, and diode test and a simple starter test to energize the solenoid to kick it out and spin They first 3 can be done at cough* cough* AutoZone for free😅 in the parking lot That old skool trick to test if the solenoid is stuck on the starter by hitting it with something while trying to crank it also works 😅 as Alex told the customer to do that and get the vehicle to the shop (avoiding a tow fee) And of course look for corrosion at the battery positive and ground wires as well and check for decent tension of the serpentine or drive belt

Have a question, my car is leaking oil only when i drive it, it’s not the valve cover gasket, but it’s throwing oil pressure sensor stop engine , and codes for cam shaft A&B, and turbo and timing. I would really like to explain the symptoms and get an opinion if you could please

That customer disputing the charge would "chap my a$$" - as we used to say. But I hope I would be a better man, as you and your wife have been on it. On that note: I have been watching your videos for a little while. First time seeing your wife in one. She's a cutie...I hope you don't mind me saying. You two look to be a great couple. Thanks for letting us in to see how things go.

11:24 I dislike ppl like that, especially to honest ppl. Honest ppl already try to help out and often undercharge. Two mechanics and myself started our car repair business. We were getting customers that didn't want to pay. Or you repair one thing and they come back saying we messed up something totally different. I remember doing a timing belt and head on a car. Customer came back saying I messed up his rear wiper. I'm like sir I never touched the rear wiper. He stated it was working fine before you/y'all worked on it. After refusing to replace the motor, he threatened with telling ppl not to deal with us, reporting to BBB, bad review etcetera. I'm asking him what am I'm gaining with messing up your rear wiper? Finally I said fine. If you buy a new motor I'll just replace it. He came back with a junk yard motor. I replaced it, worked fine. Best believe documented that along with numbers off the junkyard motor as no warranty on parts or labor, and had him sign.

Ppl say Drive it until? Shid my car gets 34 to 35 miles to a gallon. You pumped out about 5 gallons. You'll have to drive around 165+- miles 🥴

Dr. Alex what's good man... I have ford fusion 1.5 ecoboost engine , the ticking or noise whatever you like call it's really making me sick and hate the car....so I need a way to fix this , is there a real product can fix this or you think it is a normal issue in this engine... 89000 miles ... 5w20 oil

I think it’s pretty normal for that vehicle that vehicle is direct injected and they normally make a lot of ticking noises

I’ve really enjoyed your videos! I’m going to be fixing my coolant lines on gen1 chevy Cruze. But I’ve been having issues with ac not turning on. It’s not recharge, I think it’s electrical. A month or so ago I got under the car, unplugged the ac sprayed it with some electrical contact spray, used some dielectric grease to try and insulate the connection and it worked for 2 weeks then stopped again. Not confident doing the ac myself quite yet
