Welcome to my 50th weaving video! During this video, I'm taking you with me on a a typical day as a weaver. First, I finish a sample on my Dorothy loom and start planning my next project for this weaving loom. I also finish winding the warp for my next project on my counterbalanced loom. There really is a lot going on during a weaving day!

THE YARN
For all the projects presented in the video, I’m using Maurice Brassard. For the sample on my Dorothy Loom, I used 8/2 cotton in the colors Naturel and Vieux bleu.
For my dishtowels on my counterbalance loom, I'm using 8/2 cotton for the warp and 8/2 cottonlin for the weft. Both yarns have the exact name colors. Here are the names:
-Naturel (natural)
-Viel Or (old golden yellow)
-Noir (black)
-Olive (green)
Here's where you can get the cottolin, if you are in the US: woolery.com/maurice-brassard-...

THE VOTE
For my next project on my Dorothy Loom, I'm asking for your help! I have two different options and I can't decide which one to do:
-Option 1: Deep Sea Blues
With this option, I would warp my loom with 8/2 cotton in the color black. I would then weave the weft with 8/2 Tencel in the color Vieux bleu (old blue)
-Option 2: Day in the Desert
For this option, the weft would be 8/2 cotton in the natural color. For the weft, I would use 8/2 Tencel in Havane (light brown).

THE BOOK
For the threading of my sample, I followed a draft provided in Anne Dixon Book: The Handweaver’s Pattern Directory. It can be found at page 81. Here’s where you can get this wonderful book: woolery.com/handweavers-patte...
MY LOOM
In the video, you can see my Ashford rigid heddle loom. Its width is 32" (80cm) and I love it! If you are in the US and looking for the same loom, The Woolery has it! Here's their website: woolery.com/ashford-rigid-hed...
