After testing 5 different types of spring-contact-firing-switch, I am convinced that this is the best one yet. It's very simple, very safe, very easy to make, and gives the most reliable results over time. I guess it's not unique, but I have never seen it applied on a mod before.
This is an ongoing project, still in development. More features will be added later.

I like that you just say to help with time and take as much time as necessary to get the proper amount of information to be completely understood most reviewers try to bang videos out in 15 to 30 minutes often sacrificing quality for quantity

Thanks Morten for your positive and inspiring words . this is helping me to get the confidence in making my own mod. I think i'am going for a 18650 squonk mod as i prefer smaller devices . I have just ordered the geekvape mech pro $20 to see if a parallel box fits my style. Anyway enjoy that beautiful weather and scenery

I share your fear for machinery, also got the tips of two fingers caught by a table saw... Other people will never understand the amount of pain fingertip injuries cause for months, as it is one of the places with the most internal pressure in your body.... Mine healed pretty well, but the nails are also scarred.

I think using a dark wood would hide the edges around things like the voltmeter and would make it look perfectly straight.

Sorry to hear about your accident. The force of these machines are just brutal... I agree on the use of dark wood. I am now testing out some black tint made for leather. The mod is very dark, but you can still see the grain. Lines and imperfections seems to disappear :-)

Great vid & good advice on using the file...I also use soap-stone (like welders use to mark metal) to load the file before using...just file the soap-stone and it will fill the spaces between the teeth and it will be less likely to clod from filings...works the wood tools too.

Sir, you are such a valuable addition to the vaping community. Please keep on doing what you're doing, don't ever change! There are many channels rolling over each other to show off the latest and greatest for a buck from China (preferably first) and creating drama .. And then there's you, flattening wires, altering RDA's and mods, and creating beautiful ones yourself with elbow grease. Much, much respect. PS: I liked the way your cat handled the full white-out fog from your Njord. So does my cat. It taked him about 2 or 3 clouds to get used to it, after all for them it's smoke alert at first, but they settle in just fine. Mine never did when I still smoked, a few years ago, lighting a cig was a no-go for him, and off he went, but a billowy cloud from my RDA doesn't even make him wink an eye. :-)

Morten, I recently discovered your channel even though I've been a vape review channel buff for a while now (just like how I've been wanting to get into carpentry for a while now). What you're doing is inspirational and watching your videos gives me a sense of calm that I cannot really describe. I vibe with your way of life. It's the only way forward for us as a species; take it slow.. but take it :) I'm not going to say that I'm gonna attempt building my own mod yet .. but when I do, you'll be the first to know. Keep it up! P.S. what atty is that?

I am a big fan of your products and i hope to get a njord rda as soon as possible, please bring more norway vaping stuff with a little touch of our viking history! I wish you the best and send you big greetings from germany!👍

Greetings! I need to have a squonker, so the modified Squeezer with pure silver contacts and the modified Njord on top is my favorite for travel. I have the Sandman in a leather sling that I made myself. With the Njord on top it is perfect for parties. My own mod design is slowly getting to be my favorite desktop mod with the Zathog on top, but I just got a 12.6V PWM mod from Smoce Stack Modz, so the competition is hard :-) PWM mods with dual (or more) batteries, like the Surric X are the only real competition to my mechs.

It's a Russian military boonie, digital universal disruptive pattern, if you are into camuflage patterns. Got it from eBay. " it's just a draught and the wind bangin and squeaking the doors" then suddenly there's a thump and a groan ... the camera falls on it's side, we hear inhuman screeching, and later we all find out that Owen is missing, kidnapped by a Yeti or skin walker who followed him home from the beach! Sorry... been watching too much creepy pasta! LoL

You're not so far off my friend:-) 200 years ago a bear was killed behind my house up in the hills. It had a belt with a knife in it around its waist, and the knife belonged to a man who had gone missing. The bear hide was cut in four pieces, and each of the four churches in our county has still a quart of the hide in a display case... True story. I look at the piece of bear skin everytime I go to church. And I lock the doors at night :-)
