Hey Morten, i just finished my first parallel mosfet mod for dual 18650 Batts. It´s really inspiring to listen to you and thx for showing your mods. I am looking forward to build my next mod without that mistakes i made the first time. I think everyone who´s building mods goes through some kind of evolution and that´s what it make it so much fun. Greetings from Germany an keep on building!!
@mortenoen4345 жыл бұрын
Thanks man! I'm still not pleased, and I have build more than 20 mods now. Best advice is of course to keep going, and concentrate on one concept, and make it perfect for you. Great every mistake with positive thought and keep going! I think mosfet is a good place to start. If you want to explore further, look at mechs or PWM, depending if you want to develop on hammer skills or soldering skills. :-)

i made 2 Mech MOD's when i first got in to vaping,, i learn't alot and still have them as i plan on making another with different designs, for these 2 i used matchsticks to build a shell and then put the bits on ,, it was great but hard work and after a stain and varnish they looked great and i plan on making some more and maybe with Regulated ones?, the main problems i had was the 510 fitting as you can imagine matchsticks are fragile but strong with PVA and if looked after it would last a lifetime,, but twisting on and off Atomizers and the first prototype broke in the end, i still have my 2nd prototype but aim to keep it just for show,, matchstick modelling was something i use to enjoy and hope to get back in to making things ect,, i like what your doing and keep up the great work as a man needs his hobbies,, our time when we can work on something we are passionate about,, as i have a few hobbies,,i just wish i had more room,,,,

Thanks Halvor! As I said in the video, I have a lot on my plate these days. And almost enough of this damn fine weather. Snakkes!
@user-bz8es4qw7n6 жыл бұрын

You could fill that crack with resin or they make epoxy putty, its like a clay you mix and it hardens to plastic, and i think they make it in colors for crafts too.

Hi Morton, I've really loved the Zathog, it's so smooth and silky but fantastic flavour. My friend and I wondered if you have considered making a smaller version for 24mm mech tubes?
@mortenoen4346 жыл бұрын
It was originally drawn as a 24mm. If the sales go well Cthulhu Mod has talked about making a 24mm version. I would not recommend dual coil RDAs for single battery mods, but it would look cool:-)
@tobiassorrell90706 жыл бұрын
Morten Oen you have proved that your air flow experiments are now justified. The Zathog is witchcraft.. The way that the wick and coils don't discolour, and flavour stays is fantastic. :-D

I would leave it be as it is. There are now RDAs out there that do exactly what the filed down DR does.

Very cool Morten :) I think that would be so awesome to make a mod out of wood from an ancient tree I cut down in Viking Land....I feel like I saw that on an episode of "Vikings" where Ragnov raided the monasteries of England and made mech tubes out of the gold cups...but maybe I'm dreaming that lol!! Nothing is better than a totally unique wooden parallel mech box mod!! I think it's pretty cool with the voltmeter on it, ubt totally smooth with NOTHING would be awesome!! Where do you get your 510's and contacts/copper straps and mosfets?? Just wondering man....very cool video Morten....thank you for sharing what you have been up to!!!!!
@mortenoen4346 жыл бұрын
Thanks brother! An absolutely hidden switch is a dream of mine:-) I of course have a plan for it, so will see what I can do about it in the winter time. My 510's are mostly Fat Daddys, but I'll use anything with a good soldering point on the positive. The copper are almost allways copper tubing from a scrap yard or my dads basement. I no longer use mosfets, only copper plates from 1 to 1,5mm or silver plates (935). The instruments are just passive sensors for what is going on, like old school meets new school. The cool thing is that the last mod in the video could be mass produced and sold for as little as $30, or as expencive as you'd like, only depending of the materials and features of the box. I told you I wanted a parallel mech, and now I have it :-) Norwegian wood rules!

Oh Morten...... if you're a black licorice fan as so many ppl in your area of the world are, you have NOT lived until you have had Mad Murdock's "Pluid." It's an "old-school" juice and somewhat difficult to find but it is, by FAR, the best black licorice vape on the planet - no exaggeration. Nothing is close.... I know you're in Norway but I''ve got to believe some (somewhat) local distributors carry it. If not, feel free to message me on Facebook and I'll see about getting a bottle out to you as a gift. It's one of 2 flavors I've been vaping for 4 or so years and have never gotten bored with it.

Ohhh Morten, not having a dig at ya but why would you knowingly put a super sun ohm resistance on a series mech? Not telling you how you should conduct yourself but jeeeeez that is some potentially dangerous shit dude!! Glad you didn't get hurt. I like you diy box though, good job fell. P.S please don't put 0.09 on your series mech again man!! ;P
@mortenoen4346 жыл бұрын
I was well aware of the danger. Just had to see if the mosfets could handle it. They did not!
@sirdelmontecarloheadcase20046 жыл бұрын
Hi Morten, I hope I didn't offend you? I just feel I may have from the way you replied. But all that aside, I was thinking how much vape stuff has progressed over the years and little phases from big atties to small to micro etc. and I was putting together designs for an rta which incorporates bits from your zathog, so I must thank you because I probably wouldn't have come up with that double half pipe deck so it basically took that bit and I smashed it together with the qp designs fatality's dual airflow control, but mine has a twist it basically had top/down afc intake that air jets though the left and right sides and the bottom afc controls the centre of the half pipe :) in my head it looks pretty sweet but I'll likely never know as truthfully I'm a nobody on youtube in a certain respect. Do you reckon possible as you've already have contacts and gotten you feet went twice with 2 companies, perhaps incorporate a similar design but obviously have your creative touches? Cheers Morten! :)
@sirdelmontecarloheadcase20046 жыл бұрын
Oh and I forgot to mention that the best atomizer for flavour and respectable vapour production out of all my vape stuff which is fairly large now it's got to be the old council of vapour royal hunter mini, just a cheap 22mm wide, 17-18mm in height with a dual coil deck with post holes large enough for most exotics (good for an old atty) and man oh man!! that thing could not be any more reduced with 2 7 wraps 3.5mm framed staples. Just thinking about it, I doubt it'll be your bag as with those "Fraples" it's a pretty damn warm borderline hot vape man, but the flavour I get is so close to eating/drinking those flavour profiles, god!! anyways I'm done, hope this wasn't too boring but if you fell asleep I won't blame you!! Cheers ;P
@mortenoen4346 жыл бұрын
Hi Chris! It takes a lot more than that to offend me 😀 And if you want to use bits of the Zathog for your own design, it's fine. It was the intention all the time to make progress in air flow management and inspire future designs. Regarding your idea I will need to see some drawings in order to comment on it. The double half pipe was designed for this spesific Zathog air flow. Changing the air flow will result in re-designing the half pipe concept. Send me a PM on facebook with a drawing and I'll look at it. Cheers!

@mortenoen4346 жыл бұрын
Thanks Bill. This was just a teaser:-) But be prepared to make many mods before you get something you can use for a long time. I just wanted to show the ammount of work involved in designing something from scratch.
@4BillC6 жыл бұрын
My biggest issue is I really don't have the tools to do any sort of wood working or metal shaping. So it's just cheaper for me to buy the mods than to buy all the tools I would need.
