I had a dog when I was hunting, Sally, and we thought as one, it was just incredible, she was one of those dogs that knew just what to do right from the very start and just needed fine tuning. I bought at 7weeks and she was 14 and a half when she died. When the breast shield went on it was full on work mode, when it came off it was play time, eat time and I'm just buggered time haha. Thanks for bring back wonderful memories Stu and Dave. Seeya Rob.....you too Lola !!.....great dogs are never forgotten and always missed every day.

My old man used to make armour for dogs & racks for utes in the 90's. One of the blokes made enough to buy his own property up north in QLD. Can't believe I missed this one Stu. Cheers mate

If you do a lot of gutting, you might want to get a heavy knife to hammer through the breast bone. It's so fast and easy with the ribs split. I have gut about 80,000 hogs, on an assembly line, and they came to me open with the ribs cut up the breast bone split and the arse drilled with a hole saw/ vacuum. I could do the rest every 12 seconds or 300 an hour. My wrist and shoulder still remember almost 20 years later.

Hey hey hey.. my girl learns plenty in the loungeroom, which sofa to sleep on, what the chip packet sounds like when being opened, how to hang out watching footy scrounging for cheese and salami.. real smarty is she. Loves to hunt for cats and cockroaches. Your newer quad looks a bit more reliable and the land is holding plenty of feed, cheers Stu..

Hi Stu and the community, Great vid Stu! I'm based in the Northern Tableland NSW, got a fox problem currently. I am going to be using soft jaw traps among other control methods to reduce their population. If i get a fox in the jaw trap what would be a suitable calibre to put the fox down? I have an old single shot .410 SG which accepts 2 1/2" shells. I'm thinking of using just a solid slug. Is that alright or 'overkill'? Any feedback is appreciated. Cheers
@HuntingwithStu3 жыл бұрын
Hi mate yes a 410 running solids would be ok up close. A 22 would be better though

ya hay guys great video !!! ya you guys were talking about disease's and i was wondering if you could put a antibiotic in their bait food, or what ever they are eating um i know it would be an extra coast, but it might guarantee your price at market, like where i live the state to keep rabies down and ect. they use the air national guard and they throw these puck like things out all over the state use'n helicopters, they are the size of a pack of cigarette's, and they throw box's out at a time right !!!!! anyways great video, i miss hunting with the dog's too, it really builds that bond between you and them !!!!! just say'n !!!!!

Thanks for the comments mate. The people we sell the pigs do all the tests.
@boarhunter86853 жыл бұрын
Hi Stu, one question pls:. The meat of the pigs must also be examined for trichinae, before human consumption like in Germany ?. Please buy a so-called impact vest (Kevlar) for the dog, before a strong boar slashes its stomach in a fight. Greedings and tks. 4 the clip from the German Pighunter (TGPH)
@HuntingwithStu3 жыл бұрын
Hi mate, Dave would be best to answer this but they do test for heaps of diseases. A breast plate would be good but apparently they need to be trained up on running with one on. Lola is pretty smart and is able to dodge around the pigs
