Just moved here a week ago. Seems like something festive is always going on at the square. I can walk there in 2 minutes. Its like the perfect American town you in movies. I used to live in the deep south and it was NOTHING like this lol. I love it here.

I lived there for 4 and a half years and I enjoy living there but I moved back to Georgia

Winterset is a great town with a square that is still well maintained and a lot of active businesses.

Nice town only they do not tell you John Wayne's real name and why his father was kicked out of town They have a great fire Dept speedway is where the old hivee used to be I know because I married a lady from winter set she was the dtr of dale n Wanda welch and she taught me a lot of the history
