It makes me happy to see tools repaired. I know it's a lot of fiddly work but really it's better. We don't have your kind of services anywhere near me in the states.

I enjoyed the decision to speed up the fiddly bits rather than cut them out in editing like you do it a lot of videos.

@hertygreaser I prefer it, too. It just flows better for me when watching. Also you can still see everything done to the machine and where all the screws are. This information is lost when jump-cutting. Edit: What I mean by that is; one time I was trying to repair a laptop and watched a disassembly video. The creator cut the part where he loosened the screws after the first one. After I removed all the screws the part still didn't come apart and I didn't want to force it because it was delicate plastic. So I watched another video and this time I saw there were not only screws to remove but also a few plastic clips to pry apart. That's why I prefer speeding up over cutting out.

Some lads clean down there tools with break cleaner. I bet this is what happened here. It just melts the plastic to itself. The whole out case was glued solid, and the fan.

Had a fair few of those DCD996 fans welding themselves to the rear transmission cover like you found there. Really robust motor, hardly ever find burnt stator windings, even after that sort of abuse.

Brilliant video as usual. Learn so much from your videos. Have considered going into the repair business too. Do you make a living on your repair business or do you sell new stuff as well?

What are your thoughts on the Einhell 18v range. I don't think that they are aimed at trades type people, but I've just bought a brushless nut gun and you can register for a 10 year guarantee!!! I've been using their 18v range for about 5 years and in that time I've only had 1 charger and 1 battery die and I'd class myself as a hobbiest/part time handy man. When I bought the nut gun I realised that the tool only price is roughly the same as Milwaukee but I know I'd only be getting a year or 2 warranty with that. Just wondering what you think? Thanks for all the great videos 😊👍👍👍👍

Yes, Einhell is quite good for the money. I think a lot of the Parkside tools are actually einhell tools. And they have a massive following and very good reviews. Never seen one with 10 year warrenty many you. And I'd be questioning the price is its the same as a mileaukee. Also einhell are not just disposable tools like some cheaper brands, they do supply a lot of the spare parts to keep them running outside warrenty.

@deandohertygreaser I just checked again and they are now coming with a 10 year service promise on the brushless motor. Not 100% sure what that covers yet as my new toy hasn't arrived yet LOL Re the price, I was only comparing nut guns of similar power ratings (the one I purchased was a 400Nm Inpact gun). I know that the rest of the range is normally a lot cheaper then the tools aimed for professional use.
@Zogg12814 ай бұрын
@deandohertygreaser I can now confirm, it's a 3 year extended warranty and a 10 year warranty for the brushless motor. Pretty good really 😊
