Thanks for showing us how to repair these DIY tools. Not all of us need or can afford the professional tools. Helps us out when you repair and review these Parkside and Einhell tools.

Dean, get a few pairs of stainless steel hemostats (4" and 6" sizes). They are basically mini needle-nose pliers and super handy for tasks like this. You will wonder how you ever lived without 'em. Cheers mate!

Yes I agree 💯👍🏻👌🏻 I love that they lock closed too, so you can keep a grip on something small! They're a great lil tool to have!

Needle-nose pliers are good, but there's an even better tool for reaching into tight spaces, called a Rochester-Pean hemostatic forceps. It's a surgical instrument with very thin but strong springy jaws that will reach deeper and won't bend or break as easily as a similar sized pair of pliers. They're widely available online in a variety of sizes, for your needs I'd recommend the 14cm / 5.5". Prices start from around 15 euros and do not scale with quality like regular tools, if they're certified as medical instruments they'll be good enough no matter where you get them from (it's an industry standard). They're also much more heat resistant than regular pliers, as they have to withstand OR grade sterilization.

To get inside the hedge trimmer body, there's one extra hidden screw under the CE label. Then you can access the other micro switch in the handle to adjust the metal actuator lever

With luck, Parkside will change the ferrule size on the demolition hammer power lead and alter the plastic handle ring to engage better with the handle microswitch on its hedge trimmers. A good set of learning repairs in this well thought out video. I enjoyed watching very much.

Gotta go find the video you did where you showed how to fix the laser and light, think it was a DeWalt, but principle the same.

Just wanted to ask, sometimes you use a 1/4" impact to unscrew the bolts but most times you use a drill. I've never used a drill to do and undo bolts, whats the advantage ?

I’m just stupid, wasn’t supposed the vibration bit be left inside and when you pressed it on it would then fit into place, considering that you will need two to tango( two to create the required vibration, went back and forth and it didn’t look that the new spindle had the half that was left on the bench, eyesight isn’t what it was).

Thanks to your videos I had a look at a friends grinder (Bosch), loose lead connection problem so I opened it up only to find a big chunk of plastic that the cables were wrapped around. Looking at an "exploded" diagram it was a ferrite core........never seen one in ANY of your repairs, what's that all about? lol

Wait, what? Only 220 not 110. Why do they use 110v for site work? It seems a bit backwards. Nice fixes!
@simon-2962
@simon-2962 3 ай бұрын
Safety reasons. The 110v are tapped in the transformer at +55v and at -55v. Each of that voltages is kind of safe to touch in relation to ground if there is a fault in the lead.

electric shock safety , many year since i did a site safe pass , but i think the 110v stuff can only give you a 55v shock , so your day isnt ruined
@jonashermansson2519

Why do you use 110 VAC? In Sweden where I live al machines are 240 VAC or 400 3 phaze AC.
@deandohertygreaser
@deandohertygreaser 3 ай бұрын
Domestic power is 240v, but regulations here means all building site tools need to be 110v for safety. So everyone has a 110v isolation transformer to power tools.

United States viewer here, why would 240 be best for homeowner use and 110 be for job sites? If homes are set up for 240 common use wouldn't jobsites be as well? Also what would be the US equivalent of Parkside? No stores here have a house brand demohammer

Right. It's so inane to me to pump 240V RMS (340V peak) into every outlet in a house. Soooo stupid. Heck, most things nowadays will run off of 3V3 to 24V. Laundry room and kitchen are really the only places you need 240V. And I couldn't imagine every cord having that giant plug on the end of it.
