That is what greed does to a person. Luke said in a interview that he would rather slit his throat than work with or be around Susan. He made a very valid point that she didn't know Jeff the way he did, and the other earlier members of Toto. Luke even mentioned that Susan hated him and he couldn't understand why.

She’s stupid! She’s need to stop being greedy and support this thing. Many of us (including me) have been waiting for something like for a long time.

She does not own any of Jeff’s deep dark secrets anyway. If any of his children are adults, they can fight her about granting any “rights” she may have because they are equal heirs to his estate and as such stand to get any publishing royalties. I hope they do it. What a selfish idiot she is that she would stand in the way of a documentary about one of the greatest music families of all time that defined an entire decade easily.

You can thank Jeff's ex-wife for legally challenging everything Toto does. She's a real piece of work. She's wealthy in her own right, she inherited a small fortune from Jeff, and she married one of the richest businessmen in Southern California. How many yachts can that you-know-what ski behind? I didn't donate since the family has enough cash to complete this project, but how about the fans who paid $2000+ to have lunch with one of the Porcaros? Sad.

Tom McCarron, this echoes what Steve told me last January. A big pity, particularly as I have paid for my DVD....

But Steve also said Jeff's widow said she would not support it. He was upset and rightly so in my opinion. Someone took it from his FaceBook about 4-5 years ago.

I could be wrong, but as his surviving spouse, she probably now has Jeff’s publishing rights and must grant the film’s use of the music he wrote along with the other publishing rights holders (I.e., Luke, Paich, Steve, etc..). This is a work for profit so publishing has to be paid. Their record labels may also own some of the publishing. Studios have nothing to do with it.

Who gives a shit if Jeff’s widow “supports” the film! Does she have exclusive rights to the family, the band, etc..? Go around her. Also, how old are his children now? They can go around her if they are adults. What is she going to do, sue the filmmaker and all the people being interviewed? Sue Michael McDonald? Give me a break. She has no rights here. Just make the film. Jeff was a public figure. Get all the photos/videos from public sources and friends who want to share. I’m sure there are thousands. This family is music royalty and everyone should get the privilege of seeing their story. And, shame on her btw. She should step out of the way or support it if only for the sake of Jeff’s children who I’m sure would love to see this film made.

@@porcaro4ever Search "Susan Porcaro-Goings sues Toto". Stories mostly mention royalty-type payments, but I can't help but think this movie will be impacted.

@@oarnold2900 yeah I've since read some things that nod towards that. Ya know I do not know the Porcaro family nor Luke and Paich even though I have met them but they both have made evident in numerous interviews of what Jeff and the whole family meant to them. I just can't bring myself to think that they would porpously stiff her and Jeff's children on anything that is owed them so without knowing the whole situation I will not pass judgement and only hope things can be sorted out. Sad really.
