Her ultimate goal was really just to have a child so she won’t be lonely, most of the deeds she done was really from consort jia gao was just the hands. She even cares for her servants even near death she thought of where is a good department for her servants after she passes and her last wish was her next life to be a normal mother and wife happily. Realmente colega, muita intriga, conspiração, mas ele era um canalha. Ruyi era maravilhosa demais para esse traste, uma mulher digna, amorosa, fiel as suas amizades. Odiei ela não se livrar dele, ser livre, ela merecia um amor a sua altura. Que pena, infelizmente esse drama foi baseado na história verdadeira da Imperatriz e o final dela não foi bem que esperávamos. No final ela está livre mas não da maneira que queriamos.... Que drama, chorei como criança assistindo....

Eu estava vendo completo, mas quando eu cheguei no episódio 6 e vi como ele estava flertando com aquela mulher que tocava para ele. Eu apenas senti que havia algo muito errado com esse homem, ele dizia amar muito uma mulher,mas tinha um montão de mulheres e concubinas , e mesmo assim não parecia satisfeito. Então eu apenas poupei meu tempo, porque esse drama é longo. E apesar de apreciar Ruy, não quis vê- la perecer e muchar durante todo o drama. Ele se mostrou pior do que eu imaginei. Eu amo finais felizes, mais nesse drama eu senti uma satisfação enorme nas cenas que eu vi no final, porque ela não voltou pra ele, ela estava tão indiferente a ele, que prefiriu morrer do que retornar a estar do lado dele. Ele apenas casou com ela com promessas vazias, pra depois mata- lá em vida lentamente.

This is as close to a deathbed confession as he's going to ever get from one of his harem, yet he continues to insult, degrade, blame her even when she's confessed to the evil things she's done. She's also performed a 'show and tell' about the bracelet and stupid, arrogant man still won't believe it, even knowing that she isn't the only one who wore a bracelet and knowing full well neither of the women wearing the bracelet ever conceived in an entire decade. Willful blindness and ignorance to keep his ego intact. If he ousts the Empress and everyone else connected with the evil goings-on in the harem in order to jockey for top dog position, he loses half his harem; if he loses half his harem by connecting the dots of evil, the big headline would read "Mighty Emperor is Horrible Judge of Character" and he'd be a laughing stock throughout 'the world' of which he rules. His ego isn't able to take a hit like that, so even though he knows she's telling him the truth, he has to deny it and put the blame somewhere other than on himself, so he gaslights her. When she sits back on her heels in defeat, you can tell by her face and her posture she now knows not only did the Empress use her as a pawn, but he did as well and now, what's the point; she's dying - she knows it and he knows it, otherwise, he wouldn't have come to see her. There really is nothing more to say. She got all dressed up for him, weak and sick as she is, and all he is concerned about is making her feel as small as possible in her final hours. A true louse!

Yes, it's called tulsi and it can impact the fertility of both genders, not just females, if over-exposed. It can also damage the liver and effect blood sugar levels, which might be a reference to Gao's 'blood stasis disorder" as described in the series.

Yes, tulsi can cause blood sugar level problems, as well as infertility in both sexes if overexposed to it. Kind of a bad translation from the Chinese to English. It isn't basil but "holy basil" which is better known in the western world as tulsi.

Some plants and their seeds only by being nearby can induce infertility. Asia and south Asia contains many of these plants and they're untraceable except to the eye of the trained as they can appear as the "good" type of plants
