Here in Castleford we have a local attraction called Tickle Cock Bridge. In 2003 there was an uproar when the local council tried to rename it. Tickle Cock has been a feature of Castleford for 150 years and long may it continue to be so.

Let me get this right. You started with Bell End, and ended with Willey, via a quick Minge detour and a shufti right up the M69. Love it!

I always liked Wan King Path in Hong Kong - and yes, it was named back when HK was a British colony, so you can be quite sure the people that named it knew what it meant.

Worcestershire also has a village called Wyre Piddle, which sounds quite painful and that a visit to the doctor will be needed, but is in reality quite a nice little village.

Sad to see the Willey portal so overgrown and uncared for. I'm sure it took a lot a lot to fill it. The southern portal looked very messy too. Squelchy.

Shitterton in Dorset is a good un, as well as everything up the piddle valley

On the A322 between Brookwood and Worplesdon - on the left hand side if you're heading towards Guildford - there are a couple of house called Mingary and Little Mingary. By the way the word 'minge' is Romany for the female genitalia, and that's how it made its' way into the English Language. The Romany word for male geniitalia? KORI. (That's pronounced 'Cory'). So in the 21st Century, while fewer and fewer boys are being called Dick, Willie and John Thomas, there has been a significant growth in 'Cory's everywhere. Great video again....

There’s also a road in Rowley Regis called Bell End, it leads onto Mincing Lane (around a mile from M5 J2) and Twatling Road near Bromsgrove, leads onto Mearse Lane!

Anyone could talk about this. Along with the outstanding editing and end producing John's approach, delivery and sarcasm is the best. Keep it going 🎉

I'm a resident of Bell End! I know the chap who lives at Bell End farm too. What a lovely surprise to see you've come to visit us! I can assure you that asking the bus driver for a return ticket to Bell End each day caused many chuckles at school.

I hope part two will include Piddlehinton and Piddletrenthide, while lie along the River Piddle in Dorset. They're not far from Shitterton, which has a creek - and yes, it's called Shitt Creek.

I can't wait for part two. I love collecting silly place names, or even dubiously innocent ones. The best one that caught me unawares was when I was idly perusing an old map and was hit by Gobblecock Hall in Suffolk, somewhere around Saxmundham.

Loved the quick nod to Throckmorton airfield (RAF Pershore). That place deserves a video of its own, LOTS of interesting stuff happened there. 😎😳

In true Top Gear style, it's amazing that they happened to have all those cameras and drones set up to film you driving past. They must have known you were coming, but it is even more impressive that they were good enough to send you the videos afterwards.

There’s loads of places with amusing names. Near where I live is a hamlet near Petworth in West Sussex called Balls Cross, it’s a garage, a pub and a few houses. Years ago I had a friend that lived there, he had broken his elbow in an accident and I gave him a lift to a follow up appointment at the hospital in Chichester. When he checked in at reception the nurse asked his name and address but misheard, so asked “Bells Cross” my friend replied “no balls as in bo**ocks” I fell about laughing and the nurse got a major blush on! Of course on the way to Chichester we could have gone the long way round and gone through Cocking!

Having grown up near Worcester, you've reminded me of a rhyme that we used to chant as kids, back in the 1950's - "Flyford Flavell, Tibberton and Crowle, North Piddle, South Piddle, Piddle in the Hole...!" ^_^

... and this is exactly the type of content we all want on the KZfaqs. I can't wait to show this to my sprogs so they can tut and call me childish.

If you head north, and over the Caledonian border, you can enjoy such treats as Twatt, Brokenwind, Butts Wynd, Cock Bridge, and just for completeness, arguably the shortest place name in the British Isles, Ae, and currently as I speak you can also enjoy the delights of sitting in a huge tailback in the snow on the A9... a perfect trip for this channel I would think. Oh.. and Dull. There's always a great day out to be had, heading away from Dull.

Willey and Piddle carry over well to us across the Pond. Bell End was a complete stretch and Minge is more of a very scarce term, but with the bush trimming, was determinable. Surprises me as I would figure our mutual joy of gutter terms would carry everything over. Thanks for the episode. Very humerous.

I used to live in Baldock in Hertfordshire. Many years ago one of the road signs for the town was falling apart so much that the council thought they should fit a new one. Unfortunatly the company that made the sign got it slightly wrong........Bollock......... Everyone found it very funny, so much so that it made it into the local papers. The council had no sence of humour so replaced it again, 2 months later.

Im crying. I love it. Our history is just great isnt it. No 'Grope c-unt lane' though. most of them roads and now named 'Grape lane' or 'grove road'

I always like passing a place called Snave as on a regular basis some bright spark turns the n into an h.. Another place I like to pass is a sign for the River Wantsum on the A299 and can’t help by saying out loud, “you wantsum” as Phil Mitchell might say it.

If doing one of these in Scotland, remember to visit Dick Place in Edinburgh. Which handily turns on to Cumin Place.

The village pub in Willey was called The Plough before it was renamed and they used to serve a rather dubiously named snack called the Willey Whopper.

I was reminded of Brian Johnston's famous cricket commentary on Test Match Special. He managed to come up with the wonderful segment thus... "The bowler's Holding the batsman's Willey." Total mayhem and stifled giggles in the commentary Box for some time.

In Dorset we have the village of Poxwell, Piddletrenthide, the River Piddle, an area outside of Weymouth which on some old maps is Knights in the Bottom. An area of Bere Regis called Shitterton (people kept pinching the signpost so it's now made of stone). Just over the border near Fordingbridge we have Sandy Balls Holiday Site.

The fact that you didn't go to Hardon Road in Wolverhampton before you went to Bell End is most disappointing (although not as disappointing as actually being in Wolverhampton, and I say that as someone who lives here).

I used to know a place in Switzerland called "Wankdorf" (dorf means village so that would be Wank village) that was in the valley called TossTal (Toss Dale). Also a shout out to East Yorkshire's glorious Wetwang!

Last year I toured 69 of these locations on my motorbike including Minge Lane which was my favourite. Twatt on Orkney is the holey grail.
