My name is Jay Swanson - I'm an American writer living in Paris on an artist visa. Paris (yes the one in France) has been my home for years now and I have every intention of staying here for as long as they'll have me. I write science-fiction and fantasy, vlogged daily for 3+ years, and love pizza a little too much. When I lived in a Paris 28 years ago there was only one or two Japanese restaurants and a couple Mexican places. They were disappointing due to the lack of spice.; things were toned down for the French palate. Options are SO MUCH BETTER now.

listen as cold as you keep saying it is, I would be inside eating all day just to stay out the cold too. But is doesn't hurt to try good food too. I do love a good meal, merci

Not sure if you can get it in Paris, since it’s a US company, but Clean Simple Eats makes awesome protein powders. You can get single serving packets in different flavors, which I really love. You might like them! They have the best tasting protein powders, IMO😎

Also sometimes a 3rd party/small vendor will refund you, even if you can’t send the item back, just for customer relations’ sake. It never hurts to ask.

Your body burns through more energy in winter yeah. So you need to eat more animal protein or protein sources, in order for your body to maintain homeostasis when the cold temps cause your body to burn more calories to keep proper function. ❤ Lots of love to you my man

The place you stopped for the Chinese dish looked quite good, also a storefront I rather like. But, Fauna... oh my! That is had me at first look. I would have been so disappointed if the coffee wasn't good as the storefront and design says everything should be simple and wonderful inside.

It was a weird process learning that the French just don’t do spice. Trying to find red chilli flakes for cooking was almost impossible and had to order it online!

Let him among you who is without bias cast the first restaurant review. Jay, if you're on the lookout for spicy, try Indonesian Cuisine. And Paris being Paris, there must be more than one Indonesian place offering their usual spicy fare. I can only speak about Amsterdam, having lived there for six years once, but should you ever venture forth by TGV, try Tempo Doeloe for a rijsttafel that will clear out your sinuses and blow the back of your head clean off. Of course, there's always the old standby of spicy Szechuan Cuisine. Personally, I've given up on such stuff. I'd probably pitch a tent at L'entrecôte in Paris just as I would at Café Bern in Amsterdam. Not against spice, just old and tired.

I do like it! But I don't really use the smart features anymore - the novelty wore off after a year or so. It looks good, feels good, is reliable, and I do check my steps - so yeah, I probably would replace it if I lost it.

Bonjour! I'm sure the answer is obviously...BUT...are dogs welcome everywhere there? Cooper goes with you in all the coffee shops and bistros and I'm just wondering, is this the norm? Are there spots dogs are not welcome? Merci beaucoup

Please eat real protein and food. And if I have oatmeal or cereal for breakfast, I'm hungry in about an hour. I have organic peanut butter on organic whole wheat bread pretty much every morning with a little bit of organic mango juice. I never feel hungry till lunchtime and it's really good for me. Sometimes I'll have some type of egg.
