Albert (Seth MacFarlane) explains to Edward (Giovanni Ribisi) and Ruth (Sarah Silverman) all of the ways you can die in the West.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
Seth MacFarlane plays a hapless farmhand in the Old West who loses his girl when he ducks out of a fight, only to be taught how to shoot by the wife of an infamous gunfighter in this Media Rights Capitol Western comedy. The setting is Arizona, circa 1882. In the wake of talking his way out of a showdown in the streets of Old Stump, cowardly sheepherder Albert (MacFarlane) is unceremoniously dumped by his beloved girlfriend Louise (Amanda Seyfried). Meanwhile, on the outskirts of town, notorious outlaw Clinch (Liam Neeson) prepares for a big holdup, instructing his wife Anna (Charlize Theron) and sidekick Lewis (Evan Jones) to pose as a pair of sibling farmers in Old Stump and await his return. When Lewis starts a bar brawl, Albert instinctively gets Anna out of harm's way and a friendship begins to blossom. Later, Anna poses as Albert's girlfriend at a fair in order to make Louise jealous, but it all goes awry when Albert and Louise's new beau Foy (Neal Patrick Harris), the owner of the local "Moustachery," end up challenging one another to draw in front of the entire town. Now there's only one problem: Albert has never even so much as fired a gun. Fortunately, as the wife of a notorious outlaw, Anna knows her way around a pistol, and with just one week to go before the big showdown, she offers to give Albert a crash course in marksmanship. With the help of his sexy, straight-shooting teacher, Albert not only manages to hit a can or two, but to summon some inner courage as well. He'll need all he can get, too, because when Clinch gets word that his wife is being romanced by one of the locals, he rides into town with revenge on his mind and a loaded six-shooter on his hip.

They didn't shut down things like coal mining and tree lumber and cattle for the environment, they shut it down so the big cities could be funded and profit instead, and destroying competition so they could ship it overseas. We're exporting all the good stuff, so we can import lesser quality of the same stuff -- and pay more for the privilege. That's because local stuff is naturally cheaper, but the rich men north of Richmond don't like things cheap, they like it expensive, so they can make you poor, because the poorer you are, the less power you have individually, which by proxy magnifies their power. And that's why the rust belt even exists. They robbed it to build their Democrat cities, then they buried it and left the people there destitute.

The best part about this scene is that not only is it funny, but the fact that his rant has plenty of merit. The real wild west was not a fun place to live. People died in the most broadest of spectrums. People died from diseases, outlaws, wild animals, angry drunks with guns, hostile Native Americans, the list goes on. And that is why this movie is one of my favorite comedies!

Well, way to summarizes the whole flick, Seth!!! I love Albert's epic rant about how awful it is living in the West. Ingenious!! 😂😂 1) See those guys, the silver miners, see what they're eating? Ribs doused in hot sauce. You know why? Because their palette is so dulled from inhaling poison gas 12 hours a day down in the mines, that's all they can taste! You know what that kind of diet does to your guts? Constipation, cramps, dyspepsia, liver disease, kidney disease, they literally die from their own farts! 2) THAT is our mayor. He is dead. He's been lying there dead for THREE DAYS. No one has done a thing. Not moved him, not looked into his death, not even replaced him with a temporary apointee. For the last three days, the highest ranking official in our town has been a dead guy. OH! And now wolves are dragging the body away, as if to illustrate my point! Bye! BYE MR MAYOR!
