Your tastings always make me excited to add to my cart lol. I got a cake of your Lush Disciple per your recommendation and your taste is definitely similar to mine as it's fantastic. I have a couple from my local shop in AZ I'd like to send you to get your opinion. After trying some of your favorites like Lush Disciple, Candy Ice Cruncher, Nug Potion, green coil, etc. I think I have a decent idea what might pass your tests.

Another great video, Don! Fascinating that the colour does not match the taste. The Qun Ti Zhong looks greener (both the leaf and the liquor) but is described as ripe mango, whilst the Xiao Ye Zhong looks less green but is described as having a green mango taste! I have found a very decent Yunnan-grown Zhu Ye Qing a couple of years back. It doesn't quite meet the quality of the 'original' but for the price is very pleasant. What are others' experiences with this tea type?

For brewing green teas, i prefer lower temps at 175-178. If i go into the 180s it's usually for pearls. I also follow a tea master who pushes the idea of open lid brewing for green and fresh white teas.

The slurp pulls the full flavor from the brew, so he can speak on all the possible flavors you might experience if you try the tea. It's a professional move

To add to the person above me, you're basically aspirating the tea so you can get the full possible range of smells into your nose via water vapor (steam helps but it's not enough) while also cooling it off so it doesn't burn when it settles in your mouth. Smell is ~80% of your taste. If you aren't fully smelling what you're consuming, are you really enjoying it?
