From what I've Studied of any Criminal Lifestyle,(Preferably Mob since on Topic) It's either someone Gets Killed, Goes away for X(10-15-25-30-40-50-Life) amount of time,(Un-Able to be there for their own Personal family in a Time of Hardship/Strife), Or turns Informant & Tarnishes that Family Name you can have all the Money/Power in the World Still be Miserable it makes life Comfortable + Factor in someone acting like your Friend so they can Benefit from your Success than when you're down on the luck "Sry orders are Orders" Don't even waste a Second blowing you into the Next realm than the Paranoia which is Probably worst "Who's your friend,Who's Not Your Friend,Who's Toeing the Line to See where the Wind Blows" Paranoia can drive ya to do some crazy thing's Just look at Vic & Gas Rule of the Lucchese Family in the 80's nearly destroyed that family made the other half Informants, Not a Productive Lifestyle to Lead will end in Destruction with you sitting in a Cell Alone,In the Grave being Insect food or Peaking through the Blinds Wondering what that Sound was that you Heard.

I find it fucking stupid people call her a rat when she said she felt betrayed when he said he was going to work for the Fed's. The woman is born into it can't help who your parents is. That's like calling a child "a crack baby" when the mother is doing crack while pregnant. Everyone says all these names knows they want get the chance to say it to his face or hers or in the same room with both of them there. I really never blame or call the child out their name for something a parent did. That's the amount of maturity and respect I have for one person to another.

Don't be naive. You don't kill 19 people including your wife's brother and one of your best friends because they're innocent everyday citizens...You're failing to acknowledge the involvement the victims had with the mob themselves in order to become targets in the first place. By no means is that a justification, but those victims willingly participated in activity with people they knew could and would kill them if necessary. We also don't know what they did to become a target in the 1st place. If Sammy got murdered you think she'd be blaming anyone? No, because that is what comes with the territory. If you can kill, you can be killed.

How does it make sense to get out of the witness protection program knowing full well the mob will have a price on Sammy's head? He's down in Georgia openly running a legit business, while at the same time, putting himself and his family in a lot of danger. How has he managed to avoid getting taken out? To have to constantly look over your shoulder every waking moment of your life and give your family one hell of a cross to bear -- that's a pitiful way to live.

I am disable, may be he might not agree to it , but I do like his art and for someone like your father and you did not know he had the skill on art . May be ask him if I could have one of his art work . You might think this is crazy for me to ask your father THANK YOU KAREN. You are a wonderful, likeable person

Mobsters kill mobsters. The reason why the FBI most likely loved Sammy because he got rid of the bad guys. I love Karen's brutal honesty. We love our dads no matter what. I get that. It's unfair to judge her when you haven't lived her life. She's made mistakes that she admits to and also said the moment her child was born it changed her life. I don't see Sammy as a "rat" but someone who wrote a list of about 12 to 14 names that he would have to kill. Instead he chose to not kill them but take them out a different way. They all went to jail but they didn't die.

Mmk...I don't know shit but...I must say this...for her & her father BOTH...if nothing else, they ANSWER HONESTLY...I've never gotten a "bullshit" vibe from either of them. You never really see them blaming or pointing a finger @ someone else. The past is gone..I'm talking about in TODAY'S WORLD...I gotta respect that. Usually, the truth is not flattering...so to speak...but if YOU speak YOUR TRUTH ANYWAY...YOU keep the POWER & no one can hurt you. You diffuse the naysayers just like that & then they've got NOTHING. Talking honest & being accountable does deserve some respect...in MY opinion.

My grandfather was in the mafia . He is in a book called blood & money. Died before I was born. Spent most of his time in Las Vegas and nyc in the 70s & early 80s. I became fascinated by this life when my U found out who my grandfather was.

Natalya, I think she was an entitled spoiled kid and she knew little Karen’s lifestyle was going to be gone once her dad “ratted”. She wasn’t involved in his lifestyle enough to be pissed off at him being a mobster rat just on its own. Trust me, as much as she knew about her fathers lifestyle, there was quadruple she DIDN’T know. Mobsters are notorious for not having their families involved in anyway. That’s why mobsters are so secretive to their families. And btw, mobsters steered clear of drug dealing (for a few reasons) so I’m surprised Sammy got his wife and kids involved in it. They must have been bottom feeding at that point and needed the $ , who knows. His career as a mobster ended with ratting and jail time so the cash flow was not the same.

It's just part of the Sicilian culture! For 100s of years mafiosi in Sicily were hailed as heros. It came to America because Italian and Sicilian immigrants were being persecuted and kept down in society so it was formed as a protection mechanism, like all ethnicities, it was a way to look out for your own kind. Perhaps if America hadn't treated Italian immigrants so badly it may have never started here.

To those who don't know, Sammy is not a rat! After many hours of cops/feds listening to recordings after planting wires in the mob hangouts, John Gotti was on tape talking about all the things he had Sammy do, everything. They were played to Sammy and he could not believe he was betrayed by the boss. That is when Sammy decided to cooperate. John told him to be sacrificial lamb and do the time because the boss was needed on the street. Sammy was backstabbed and betrayed so he cooperated. John had already given all information. All mob guys know John couldn't keep his mouth shut. Sammy is not the rat! Sammy knew he was as betrayed and decided to get out. John Gotti is who brought down the mob. Go watch John Alite speak about the perfect gangster here on you tube.

It seems a little unfair to judge HER based on what her father did. Yeah she's famous because of what he did but she didn't make it happen. The network, the fans of the show, social media let it all happen. I'm certain employers weren't beating down her door. In order to have privacy, she'd have to alienate her entire family. She was born into a lifestyle she didn't choose. My father wasn't a hit man or criminal. He was a sociopath. He was who he was. But he was my father and he's been gone most of my life. I love and miss him still. She has had such a strange life
