Hello Thomas, how do you manage to make each successive video better than the already fantastic video???!!! You simply AMAZE me! This is the video that sealed it for me: Norway looks F***ING incredible! Your country is on my bucket list of places to see before I pass away! But there seems SO MANY PLACES to see! I would need six months to see even some of what you show. And doing it on a motorcycle just makes me SO ANXIOUS for the spring to arrive and get out and enjoy the countryside. And I know that I sound like a broken record, but the drone footage and camera work are simply too good for words. I got a lump in my throat looking at all of the beautiful scenery. Your videos make me want to look at them again and again…AND AGAIN! Saying…THANK YOU!!!! just doesn’t seem enough. But I will say THANK YOU, and you know that it is most sincere. Cheers!

Well, I’m really glad to hear you say this, because i had a hard time editing this, because i felt like i did not have a story or enough happening this day to be a good episode, but it will probably look better in the long video in the end. So to hear all this positive and amazing feedback on something i was scared did not live up to the expectations and what i normally do, makes me really happy. And probably shows how easy it is to second guess yourself or have doubts. Again, tank you for taking the time to watch my videos, taking the time to comment and give me valuable inputs so i can become better as well. That is so damn underrated and i appreciate it a lot. Thank you 😊

@tshansen
@tshansen Жыл бұрын
We are not spoiled with gravel roads here on the west coast of Norway either mate. But we have a few high in the mountains, and on the Eastside. So you don't need to travel more than a day to be in gravel heaven. And with Sweden close by, you can really explore for weeks. That is quite nice. I saw a post last night on the TET side that another lane was closing down? Glad you enjoyed this episode mate. Cheers ☕️

@@tshansen Ah. A real shame that. Hopefully it's not the first of many. Scotland with all of its space should be more like Norway and Sweden. When you think it can’t get any better…you always do better! Amazing video. I found myself counting the shots; drone clip, roadside clip, helmet clip, tripod clip, drone clip… people don’t realize the amount of work and thinking behind it. Wow, thank you mate. It is funny you say this, because I felt like this was the hardest episode to make. I had so much footage this day I could not use or did not make any sense. So I really struggled to "tell" a story. On the first gravel road it was back and fourth a coulpe of times, I have to admit that 🙈😆 But that place deserves to be showcased in the best possible way. You really need to try it yourself. It is really fun and gives you so much more fun on some of the travels. Cheers mate 🍻

Great job Thomas. The mix of on bike, drone footage was really good. The views from above only exacerbate how beautiful your country is. Continuity of the switching sequences really carried the vid along. A good mix of personal words help bring the human element into play as well. I've fought the road demons now for well over 40 yrs. They can be punishing worse than trolls. A couple of close friends have done the same. Many do. Just remind yourself how fortunate you are to be in this position of discovery from a motorcycle. When editing think how damn beautiful your place really is. Enjoy the family. They are only young once and it flies by. Not been to Lofoten yet, man how can you stand it.
@tshansen
@tshansen Жыл бұрын
Thank you so much Sam, you have a lot of wise sayings lately 👏🏻 Road Demons can be the worse sometimes, but I think it is really important to show that aspect of riding as well. We are all human and in these times it looks like people think this is not normal. That life is only sunshine and rainbows. I'm really sad to see how many people who claims they are depressed and struggles and I wanted to show that this is something we all go trough ever now and then. I have been to Lofoten, I was there back in 2016.... and I have wanted to go back every year since. But something always get's in the way. But I will get up there again mate, you be sure of that. Well yet again, another fantastic video to enjoy. I can remember the 1st time I went to Norway way back in 88, I couldn't believe my eyes. At that time the Norwegian tourist board, advertised it as a scenic surprise round every corner. They weren't kidding. I almost ran out of film on the 1st day. Norway is on another level, it's just out of this world. I had an English friend in Bjørkedal, and he used to laugh at me, because I just couldn't get over how stunning it was where he lived. Sadly he's no longer with us, but I still go back now and again to remember him, and to experience Norway and all it has to offer. I for one, ( like all the rest who have commented ) am so grateful for all the hard work that you obviously put into these video's. Is Nordkapp on the cards this year Thomas?. Looking forward to tonight's video from the Nordic ADV TV ( 3 Musketeers ) 👍👍

Haha, running out of film. Damn I know the feeling. First startet out with film cameras my self. The old Olympus. And it is not far from the truth, it is almost a scenic surprise around every corner. In some parts of Norway it is just endless with views and scenic vistas. Really glad to hear you enjoy my videos and little projects. It makes me really happy to hear that people can relive old memories trough my work. Absolutely humbling experience. I have North Cape on the top of the list every year. But there is no guarantee. I have so many plans this year, I just hope I mange to get trough half of them. I have so many invites around Europe and places I would like to see for my self as well. So I have to see what I can manage. But one thing I can promise, what ever I do, I will bring my camera 😇🎥

Your Tenere sounds as great as the views are stunning. A+++ for your filming and production. You must have a very understanding gf. It seams like the 3 or 4 day are always the worst when missing home. It is a Son I have, he is soon 9 years old now, and I really hope I can bring him on some future adventures. Again a nice video. Loving your country! What is your main tire choise for the T7?
@tshansen
@tshansen Жыл бұрын
Thank you Rob. My main tire choice on most of my trips are the Continental tkc80 front and mitas e-07+ Rear. that is the best 50/50 setup I have come across. And that is not only because of the tires being better than everything else, but they are way cheaper for me to buy here in Norway compared to other brands. Like almost half the price compared to others sometimes.

@@tshansen why not a set of the same brand tyres? Way to expensive or you just like this set up so much? I'm still running the stock Pirelli STR's. Loving them untill now. But i'm looking around for a new set.
@tshansen
@tshansen Жыл бұрын
@@ApriliaTuonoV4 Because I absolutely love the extra grip the tkc80 gives up front on gravel, and it still performs like a less knobby tire on the road. So I stick with this front tire for all my riding, but I can mix up my rear tire depends on my needs. I find the typical 50/50 front tires to be a little bit sketchy on the gravel, they kinda wash out in the corners. Not sure how to explain it better
