It's all about heat control when working on cast iron. Mud pit is simply to hold the heat and control the cooling. These guys might look primitive, but this kind of work is actually quite technical, and most welding and fabrication shops in the first world won't even touch this kind of repair due to the difficulty and risk of cracking the casting.

Они точно в постапокалипсис не пропадут и дадут всем фору. По сути они уже всю жизнь в приближенных к нему условиях оживляют машины и механизмы. Так что для них врятли сильно что-то поменяется, ну разве что они смогут обновить свои станки нахаляву. Честно, не перестают удивлять. Правильно говорят, кто хочет, тот ищет возможности.

Да ребята не парятся. Колено зажимает, проблема решаема! Просто отпустить болт на крайнем бугеле.

Ну там его плоскостью по бетону таскали😂 и собирали без пасты) на сухую😂 а вось, неделю поработает.

I think growing your own garden variety engine, is good for you. No chemicals, just charcoal...plus the barbecuing of engines brings the family together. ...ashes to ashes, hyundais to hyundais...

Работа интересная, суетная. Но бесполезная. Из всех инструментов, был микрометр и тот не особо использовался... По сути, не долго ему поработать, потом обратно.

@@darknes7800 Case 188 Diesel (deck cracks between cylinders) or GM 6.5 Diesel (cracks between valves, cracks in main-webs) -no shortage of operational cracked engines, or maybe Chrysler 5.2 magnums (cracks between valves being common)

The boring and deck resurfacing is great......you can measure the imperfections with a Stanley tape measure. I have scrapped better equipment than being used in the video !!!!!!!!!!!! LOL
