Diabetic patients are more prone to wounds on their feet that lead to diabetic foot ulcers. If not monitored well or treated, these ulcers can lead to amputations and an increased risk of death. A group of researchers led by #NTUsg have developed WellFeet, an app to help these patients monitor the health of their feet.
The app was developed with clinicians from Tan Tock Seng Hospital and National Healthcare Group. WellFeet can be accessed in English, Mandarin Chinese and Malay, and offers personalistion options for tracking daily tasks. There is also a chatbot that provides information to help patients throughout their journey.
