Good morning Lydia, I’m here in the US after a horrible horrible day in our country. Consuming some of the most dreadful news for hours and hours. I finally couldn’t take it anymore and needed a sense of calm. I wanted you to know that watching you has become a source of that for me. I save your Thursday post for my Sunday mornings and after yesterday needed the calm that I get from you more than ever. So while I watch you ,outside in the sun on this beautiful day I wanted to share my gratitude and say thank you. Thank you for for simply being you and sharing your life journey with us.❤️

Hi Lydia. Your eye lash feeling soar could potentially could be due to lash growth serum. I know many people who after long term use have similar problems, and stop using it. I know you mentioned previously you have or do used eye lash growth serum. Eye area is the most sensitive area. So worth you looking into that. X

Lydia you have inspired me to get back to riding. Sadly my horse passed away a few years back and I find it hard to get on another horse and ride again. I spent every free moment at the barn with my best friend. After watching you I remembered how much joy it brought me to ride and I going to get back to the barn and do what I loved so much. Thank you. I have been watching you for years and you are so inspiring. Ps. I loved Evergreen. I have it on an stand in my dressing room.

I've been riding my whole life, and really the critiques never go away. Doesn't matter your skill or level, you could be going to the Olympics and other riders will critique you. In theory, we all know what we SHOULD look like, but actually doing it is much harder, there's so many variables that go into riding. I hope anyone who wants to critique you realizes that you are obviously working with a professional instructor, and don't need additionally advice on riding. And don't self conscious about not being an expert, seeing your take on learning and being with the horses is lovely and really fun! Please enjoy your journey and I hope we'll be seeing a lot of horse centered content!

Definitely keep up the riding regularly, you'll improve so much by doing that. Riding without styrups gives you a feel for the horse and is really important to improve your skills. You should try riding horse back without a saddle. One of my favourite memories is spending my younger years at the stables all weekend long. Loved it.

If you ever travel to the Napa Valley let me know Lydia ☺️ I have a beautiful black Lusitano Dressage horse who I’d love to offer to teach you a riding lesson on ✨🦄 I know the chance of that happening is pretty low 😂 but I will say that the riding community is extraordinarily welcoming- I find that if you show interest in riding there are really so many who will come out of the woodwork to offer their horses to teach you to ride on ❤ our community is so small, that anytime someone new shows interest it’s just the best thing ever ☺️

Just a note for airing out flooded or damp walls. I have done renovation and resale of investment properties for years. Black mold is a huge problem here in the states, many trust me it is no joke. If you have had damp floors and walls p,ease don’t just use a dehumidifier. Go rent a professional water remediation fan or 2 or 3;; They are mammoth. Let these fans run 24 hours a day for a few weeks. Move them around. I know people who have become very ill from mold from damp areas that were not properly treated. Can’t wait to see what you do with the space

I love riding so much, and my lessons are the highlight of my week. I wish I were a better rider, however we are all doing the best we can. I compare myself with where I was last year, or 5 years ago, and know I have improved massively. They have been a game changer for me; I could not ride my mare without them. My coach, who is a Grand Prix rider, takes lessons from her coach. Lessons and feedback are crucial to improving. The horsey world can be critical, however there are a lot of horse people who are encouraging and supportive and loads of fun. Horses are so wonderful; I couldn’t imagine my life without them. I will be 70 soon, but I feel so much younger, and it is all because of horses, and especially Miss Reba, my chestnut mare.

Less than 18 months later after weekly lessons, and many good rides ans bad rides I BOUGHT MY FIRST HORSE Rufus (thank you husband). This was my version of applying Evergreen thinking to my life. Lydia, I really recommend you take up lessons with a real serious professional rider, who’ll teach you how to properly ride. It will be in the arena in the beginning, but it’ll help you get confident. Learning as you do, will teach you a lot of improper things, and learning right the first time is easier than unlearning bad things. Being surrounded by a professional will also help you feel safer, as you’ll learn how to properly do the things you want. Keep going with it!

Makes me miss riding! I remember when I was learning, the best piece of advice someone ever gave me was to point my toes to the sky. Doing this made my heels sink, my knees get into position, then naturally my back fell into place. It was crazy how just moving my toes made my whole body adjust to a better riding position. When I rode bareback, it made my body feel like I was sitting in an invisible saddle. Thanks for bringing us along! ❤

I love that you not having your phone at bed during the week. I also do that. But I put it in a Time Lock Countdown Safe from Geniehand that I can set the time intervals that conrtol when the safe opens. It has changed my life, relationships and I am in such more calm and peaceful state. Love your videos and it's very encouraging as always.

I rode regularly for 20+ years (my last horse passed away so I'm on a longer break)... it's always a learning experience and even top riders take lessons. Nice to see you enjoy riding!

I'am curious why you didn't use the same stone in the kitchen for the downstairs to tie it all together? Are brick floor common in England?

Great vlog as always, and I LOVE all the horsey bits. More horsey sharing please 😁 I did lessons years ago in an arena which was fun. I did alot of riding as a kid, but got way out of practice. Im now 46 and would love to do it again, but unfortunately have a slipped/disc bulge so dont think I can ....... so I will live precariously through your love of riding😁
