"Most likely no one is going to listen, I know that no one cares, and I'm not a professional yet, I don't have a team with me to help create the content we need. But I know something no one knows, and I see something no one sees. I have a mission for this channel that's bigger than I could have ever imagined. And believe it or not, that mission is YOU.
For years we have been struggling to find the right answers, we want to know how to pick up the spares, how to win more games, how to get more strikes, and how to stop leaving that freaking ten-pin.
You have all the questions, and although I might not have all the answers, I have the ones that matter the most.
So why do I tell you all of this?
Because Bowling is just like you and me, Bowling is simple yet so complicated. Bowling is not just a sport but a passion we share. For some, bowling is their whole life and for some others, Bowling is just an excuse to go hang out with their friends and have a good time. And for some others like myself, Bowling means opportunity. The opportunity to learn and grow as a person, as a teammate, and as an athlete. The opportunity to make new friends, travel around the world, and learn a new language. The opportunity to share with you all the lessons that only a sport like this has to offer.
There are hundreds of professional bowlers around the world that you could listen to, but this channel, is not about any of them, and it's not about me either. It's about all of you listening to me right now. All that matters is that you learn something new with every video, and my hope is that because you do, you will make sure to spread the right message about the sport we love.
This is a new era for Bowling, and it all starts with you.
If we want to be treated as Athletes, we must become one. We must train our minds and body to reach our full potential. We must push our boundaries and never surrender under pressure. We must get comfortable with defeat and failure because, at the end of the day, that's what great athletes are made of.
If we want to be recognized as Athletes, we don't have to convince the world, we just have to behave as such.
We don't need bowling to be in the Olympics in order for it to be recognized as a sport. We don't need multi-million dollar deals with sports networks. All we need is a change in our mindset, how we look at the sport, and how we treat our athletes.
So here is my promise, I'll do my best to set the example, I'll do my best to teach you what I know, and I'll do my best to help you improve your game.
