A New Top Speed at Phillip Island in the Mitsubishi Colt Ralliart. But why?

9 ай бұрынAt a recent driver coaching track day I did a new top speed on the straight at Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit. It was significantly better than last time I was there despite the same tyres, tune and turn 12 exit speed, but there were still a few things that could have explained the difference.

Yeah I experienced a similar thing in the afternoon that same day. I didn't get as fast as you but hit 200kph in my 2L MX5. I took a similar line onto the straight.

Good thought but I had a driver coach in the passenger seat last time also and still much faster. So I think it is something else.

It was a possibility for sure but not obvious on the day and the trees in the background of the video are not moving much at all.
