When not building, fixing or preparing race cars Wolfgang likes to do a bit circuit and hill climb racing. His weapon of choice is a seriously modified Mitsubishi Colt. And when we say “seriously modified” we really mean it. AWD, Evo 7 running gear, stroked 4G63, big turbo, sequential box and over 800hp on tap!

Building a car that goes fast on a twisty mountain track seems like a much more advanced art than building a car that goes fast in a straight line.... Not that the later is in any way easy mind you. It just seems that modern rally/hill climb cars would do pretty damn well on the quarter mile AND go around 90 degree corners at speeds that would make me wet my pants.

What we find amazing is how much power some of these hill climb cars squeeze out of relatively small capacity engines.

@@Chiiiko44 Familia's are awesome. Used to have a GTX model of the same year. It was a really fun car. Getting super rare these days . Especially a GTR model. You rarely see any on the japanese auction sites.

Nope, definitely a Colt/Mirage CJ0. Those were quite common here in central europe.

at 4:36,the radiator cap hose (i dunno what its called) is connected to the wastegate? or am i blind?
