Trip to a Northumberland Forest to scope out new areas, find waterfalls that show on map, these were not impressive ! And a nice Bivy in a Sheepfold,
Sunset and sunrise watched, bit of disturbance by a pack of hounds, so nearly came home, what they were up to I don’t know, all in all a nice bivy camp.

Cracking tarp camp. Great weather for a camp especially in Harwood. It looked very picturesque even though it was a bit chilly for you but you got through it. Loved the waterfall and the flat areas next to the stream definitely ideal camp spots. Really enjoyed your video as always. Atvb Andy 🌲🌲🌲⛺🌲🌲🌲

Hi and thanks for coming along, one of my favourite spots but I don’t go often as it’s a hard one, due to the ground, and midges are bad as it’s so boggy. Cheers Adrian

A mate and I recently drove up to Harwood to see the Winter's Gibbet - ironically there's a Ukraine flag hanging from the pole at the moment. Just wanted to say thanks for the content, I enjoy your casual style it makes for great cuppa material when I can't get out myself. Hoping to make a start wild camping myself this year, starting at Harwood as it's the closest large woodland to Newcastle. Cheers pal

Hi and thanks that flags been up a while, it’s a great place and you can always find some quite spots, hard for a tent as it’s so clumpy, but a small shovel can level the clumps if you needed too. Cheers

Hi and thanks, I don’t struggle in the cold as a rule but I tried it without the thermals ! Not again, nice to know using the down jacket as a bit of a quilt warms it up quickly, dancing the hills again but while the midges are dormant the forest pulls Cheers Adrian

Missed this video. Positive I'd subbed!! Anyway, it looked like a great camp. The area around the waterfalls looked perfect for a tent or hammock camp. I have a weekend booked off for next month, so I may have to have a look for them

hows the bivi working out?. and, a space blanket comes in handy when you get unexpectedly cold. put it between you and the sleeping bag till you warm up again. or you could take a lightweight camping quilt and double up with the sleeping bag if the cold wakes you up. what you don't want to is be is too warm and start sweating. with two items of bedding you can control the temps somewhat better.
