This video is a bit off my usual theme, but i found this large pair of rattlers doing a mating dance not too far from my front door. They were at least 6 or 7 feet long and were lifting their heads as high as 2 feet up off the ground. The bodies were about as thick as a strong mans arm..
I have no problem with snakes but i am not very happy with these two venomous snakes so close to the house.
edit: a little research indicated that these are two males doing a display for a female. the intention of the display is to see which one can rear up the highest. I never did see the female which I assume was nearby in the brush. good thing I kept my distance
