I doubt anyone reads this, but I've found this playlist incredibly helpful. I'm a nuclear scientist finishing my PhD, while also working at a government nuclear lab (one of the "Oppenheimer" ones). I don't know that "studying physics" is correlated with liking this music but I do truly enjoy it. I've been using this playlist to write proposals for new material designs in molten salt reactors and to wrap up my dissertation. It helps through the long nights. So, anyways, thanks for producing this playlist Nobody.

That’s so cool, if I wasn’t studying zoology I’d want to be a nuclear physicist. In fact where I live in Scotland they were testing molten salt reactors in the 60s/70s. They dumped the waste sodium in a hole… by the sea. You can guess how it ended, search up Dounreay accidents if you want some pure nuclear comedy.

I'd like to imagine myself in a study room, sitting in front of a small window. It's snowing outside and I look at the quiet street from time to time. I sit comfortably at the edge of my chair, understanding the topics and solving the questions I had set out to do. I feel awake, I feel that I'm finally learning. I personally rely on motivation to get things done; this playlist made it easier. :)

I'm a PhD student working in the field of astrophysics, specifically Mars and Mercury, and to be honest it can be very difficult. Lots of deadlines, lots of work to do, lots of moments when you're very much alone in the dark, trying to find an answer to a problem you don't really know anything about. This playlist has helped me to remember the true meaning of my research and has motivated me in a way that I can't really describe: a bit like looking through a telescope for the first time, or when the first images of a new celestial object arrive. Thank you very much for that.

Hey, I'm a teen student in the Sciences and Pure Math, still in high and I'm asking for your advice. I hope to be an Aerospace Engineer. Recently, things have been feeling a bit bleak regarding the Mathematics, we have a really short time to complete the syllabus and I skipped a year of math prior to the level I'm doing now. So It's very much challenging and I usually get left behind in the learning. This makes me feel a bit unworthy and sad because I'm a relatively good science student, but I am innately aware of the fact that if I don't get the math right, I can't be the scientist I want to be. So my question therefore is, since you've also encountered struggles, that me at my level have yet to comprehend, how did you "trust the process" and push through?

@@yatnielwalters7403 Hi! I know I'm not the person you asked, but what helps me is to visualise my goals and romanticise the process. Watch videos or movies that make you feel that passion about aerospace (for me personally it's Oppenheimer and Interstellar mainly) and push through. Remember, not everything is easy and sometimes you have to push yourself to become that version of yourself you aspire to become. Also, just wondering, do you know what sort of job you'd want to do after the career?

Haven’t finished Oppenheimer yet hahaha, but Interstellar is probably my favorite movie of all time. I’m not sure what you mean by after the career, but assuming you mean when I retire - I’ve always said that when i’m about 60 or so, i’d just become a Chef….cook up some nice things yk loll. @@yatnielwalters7403Hi! I’m preparing to head off to grad school in the fall, where I’ll be pursuing a PhD in theoretical physics, so I’ve got some relevant experience. First of all, the best scientists (and the ones who stick around for the long run) are not the ones who automatically have all the answers. They’re the ones who never give up on asking *questions*, and that’s a big difference. In college, or even where you’re at right now, you’ll meet a lot of people who’re great at memorizing. It might seem like they have all the answers, because they’re the best at regurgitating the textbook. But what you’re doing, pushing your own boundaries and learning as much as you can, is never going to look easy. It’s never going to look like you’ve already got it all down solid, because that’s the exact opposite of what learning *is*. Never stop asking questions, never give up that drive to get outside your comfort zone, and you’ll go a lot further than anyone who refuses to push themselves because they might raise their hand in class with the wrong answer. Keep your grades up within reason, but don’t stress it when you can feel your brain growing. That means you’re doing something right.

It's been a lifelong dream of mine to study physics. I finally set out to do so at uni in October 2022. Sadly I have developed a realy heavy fear of failing during my time as a student and have made the rash decision to quit studying physics in 2023. I still regret it until this day due to the irrational decison that has lead to me quitting due to fear, which is always a huge mistake. I have since started studying aerospace engineering which is by no means less challenging or interesting than physics but it's also not the same. The fear is still there but I have realized that listening to fear will do more harm than simply living with it. Just wish I had known this the first time around. So I want to tell you not to give up when things seem hard or impossible and when fear starts popping up. In the end it's just a set of emotions over which you may not have control but you can control how to react to them. In the end your fear is just letting you know that you're doing something you don't yet understand. And isn't that what physics is all about? To discover the unknown? I hope you all keep the fascination and curiosity that has lead you this far. You got this!

@@kandarpbhardwaj3490 Physics is a beautiful field to study! I understand your concerns about studying physics. Primarily one studies physics out of sheer curiosity for the subject. Physics later on does offer some very good career choices as you will learn to solve problems in a very logical and analytical manner. This allows you to work in a broad range of fields including engineering, science, finance and any other field which requires complex problem solving skills! So no need to worry about the career aspect. Let curiosity be your main driver!

I am an associate professor of physics whose research areas are astrophysics and mathematical physics. Man, thanks for the motivation, I'm not studying the "Physics" career, but Astronomy, which is connnected with physics, but not that connected, nevertherless, this playlist makes my brain relax, as for the only thing I'm thinking about are numbers, therories, exams, study, study, study. I finish school when I was 15 years old. I wasn't sure of what to study however I didn't want to lose time so I took a hasty decision... Studying Economics which I like I really do. Something inside of me when I see physics I feel a warmth in my chest, so many things that unfortunately I could have learned if I had thought better. I just hope to have the opportunity when I finish studying my first degree, I can study astrophysics or at least have a specialization in that field. If you find yourself studying physics right now, really take advantage of this beautiful science :') ... At least I'm 17 years old and I am in my second year of university, I hope to achieve my deepest dream, Good luck :)

Today is the 26th of February, 2024. I'm a young man that is going to finish his education in a chemical professional school. But I miss for that old times when I didn't even live. When I close my eyes I study chemistry or nuclear phusics in an old-fashioned university library of some southwest american city. It's April or May so exams are soon. I love that your playlist, with the piano and contrary to the "classical music for study" playlists out there, is not distracting. I think it's the first time that music actually helps me focus. I also see that you included some pieces played by Patrick Pietschmann, who is a great pianist and I love his takes on movie scores ! Please keep the good work up, your playlists are great. BS in Biophysics here. Physics is the most beautiful thing in my mind. The fact that humans came up with a language that can chart the movements of the stars and help predict the folding pattern of a protein is nothing short of incredible. It is humanity's attempt at putting our finger on the pulse of the universe, and there is nothing wrong with romanticizing this :)

How could i have ever hated studying physics? Its one of the most beautiful subjects ever... Long lost dreams of all those chaotic minds , written in English and math , a little Latin and Greek here and there This book I am reading right now , I am so grateful , to all of those brilliant minds and brave hearts Thanks to them , i get to understand myself a little better

hey there, am from 27th Feb 2024 (2;35pm).....i dont know what i will become in the next 3 years or even 3 months, even you (maybe in another galaxy they are ahead of us). But do not forget to live in your present ....live it to the fullest , do what you like, do stuff uk its gonna be worth it. do the work without expecting results. We human beings dont even constitute 0.0000001 % of the vast universe ahead of us. we dont even matter , its not worth the excessive overthinking and pressure u take onyourself. We, living organisms, came on this planet by an accident, just imagine if that accident didnt happen. there wud be no u , no me , no us!! take it light, u belong here , on this planet , u are a portion of this beautiful planet, u r made up of the matter on this planet. we are just existing, thriving cuz we r here. so lets just exist. no use thinking useless stuff, cuz either ways we will perish in the near future. meanwhile, as we exist, spend time with this planet, with its beings , the plants , the sky , the sea....even the breeze u feel on the skin. live the moment....dont harm yourself or anyone. be loving and peaceful. -me, from a moment not too long ago....hope this helps u and me, if we ever pass by this comment anytime....love u

First year aerospace engineering student here, i use this to study for my real analysis exam, i have to be honest and admit half of the things we do i do not yet fully understand, how our teacher has come to a certain connection to solve a problem for a converging series for instance, but i really wish to end up doing this to the same level as my teachers, regardless of their field (we do study a great many subjects be it maths, physics, chemistry, material science and the rest) and honesty music helps a lot to focus, especially what may fall under classical music, it seems to be helpful in many ways i find, to you out there also looking to expand your vision, i wish you all the luck and patience to achieve your goals
