I have to say I definitely learn from many of your outstanding fabrication techniques and can I can use them to apply to and accomplish my own original ideas, as they can only help my ideas come together better and faster. A big thank you for sharing your many years of experience.

definitely an ex indian army bike ,ears on the toolbox for padlocks and insets on rear mudguard stays for slim metal boxes ,its between 1970-1973 , villiers carb is original as is pritcol speedo , nice find

That carburettor as I remember was on the RE TURBO TWIN 1965 ..VILLIERS ENGINE 250cc 4T

I have a Enfield India 350 bulit, same front wheel and brake and front fender, same carb and same tacho drive on rear wheel. It was original sold in the Netherlands in 1977 as new. ps I like your Enfield projects, I hope not to much mistakes in my writing, I am from Holland.

That number plate looks like a Nigeria 1950's registration. Kisumu had the KD series. The rear plates were reflective yellow with black lettering

Half width hubs are fun if you enjoy Brown trouser moments. Try descending a mountain on a series of Hairpins , two up, with a load of camping gear with smoke pouring from the hubs .I will be forever grateful to the coach driver who noticed my predicament in his rere view mirrors and allowed me to run the front wheel against the back of the bus on the straight bits, allowing the brakes to cool enough for the bends. The bike a 1947 Matchless twin which I toured the Scottish Highlands on in 1981. I religned the brakes before I left home in Dublin, they were completely worn out when got home. I have seen it done in Ireland where an early Indian Bullet would be "aged" to benefit from a lower import duty and road tax as a "vintage" machine The indicators would have been removed before inspection. Your bike looks like military issue, the paint is non standard, obviously and the wheels are from an earlier bike.A bit of scraping might tell a story. Good luck with it, it should be fun on quiet country roads, if you can find any today, that is.

Interesting bike there. You'd have sworn they were redditch-era crankcases. Brass quill bolt, plain tappet cover and bolt-on breather stub. I wonder if it's got a scavenge-side pressure relief valve and return oil gallery going back to the oil tank in there? Worth checking (if only to see if it's in good order). Don't throw out the half width brake shoes even if they are worn out, they are like rocking horse poo.

Very interesting to see and hear the differences of the bullets from different years and eras. My own bullet is one of the 200 that made it to Canada in 1995. Then no more came until the UCE bullet made it here. Mine is a 350 but I get the sense that most of the 200 were the 500cc version. Very fun to compare. Thank you for this.

Carb is Villiers S25/B, Mudguards in India are called Bucket Guards 1963-67,rear mudguard bracket are for Saree guards.

I had a 350cc Enfield India, it was labelled as such on the tank, it's reg was UAY 491S I think. It had a Villiers carb, and a very similar front mudguard although mine was chrome. Mine also had the half hub front brakes, which were completely useless and couldn't hold the bike on even a moderate slope. Mine had a full 2seater seat, which I believe was made with Dunlopillo. I should have some photos somewhere, I will have a look tomorrow.

The twin leading shoe on my starfire was good too , i got really good at adjusting it too in the couple of years i had it...& it never let me down once! Cracking little bike & so nice looking i once had a copper follow me 7 miles home from the local station just to have a good look at it as he'd had one the same bright orange colour.

Looks like you have your Mojo back Craig you look so much better. I keep bashing on about a Janus look alike but I think the engine would not suit that design. I do think you need a Dog House signature bike what about dog based on Blue same colour as blue too. Tried to watch on yer bike yesterday just not the same without you. In my humble view the best thing you ever did going it alone so much more interesting , grown up and it is visible that you are getting better behind the camera. So lets see how an ugly duckling can turn into a swan, looking forward to the series. After my recent surgery I am now back building my workshop, can't wait for it to finished.

I think it's about time you did one for yourself & as you know the joy of it is it's your bike so the only person to consider is yourself.

Excellent luv it! :D That deep front mudguard and half drum brake, virtually identical to early BSA Bantam. Funny how diff manuf's were making virtually the same style of things.

"IF" you decide to keep it yourself, rightly so it should standout from the crowd as a rolling banner for your business However I think as you now have a huge group of followers, you should make a doggie sidecar to have Blue come to meets and greet's and Rideout's with you It would be a great story to find the history of it seems like a real oddball machine

Hello Craig. You've got pretty much original motorcycle there apart form some obvious cosmetic bits, the mudguard are early Indian ones (possibly-68) , rear subframe/mudguard stays are for military panniers also the provisions to mount a padlock on the toolboxes. Make sure you check those half width hubs, just in case they are aluminum as those are something worthwhile

Love every video - I am more interested in the Ural and the Turbo Suzuki but even for bikes I'm not as into I appreciate the love and attention you give them. The orange Enfield is beautiful in fairness! If you want the bike for your own - then do a bobber as you said! Do what you want to do and enjoy it.

I got a 1979 model and the Speedo meter is on the back exactly like yours.Front brakes same like yours and yup brakes are terrible.

Looks like the Indian export model, 1977-1980 (think the Villiers carb was replaced in 1981)

should be an interesting build, and nothing to do with anyone else what you do with your own bike, do whatever takes your fancy and makes you smile

I’ve got a 70 something bike that was bodged together in India with a side car. I picked it up off the fellow that imported it, and for the life of me, it doesn’t wasn’t to down shift. Hoping to sort it out.

I agree with you..I believe it's a late 60's engine in an early 70's frame and was one of the "Gazillion" Indian Export Military/Cop bikes they shipped in bunches all over the place..They all had single shoe brakes (terrifying at speed)..I think Villiers Carb is late 60's but the Breather is what I remember, with the wierd fins and bolt on assembly..I think some of the early Military Export Bikes were offered in 500cc but that looks like a 350 to me (it will be interesting if it's a "special order" 500..with the absolutely Crap Brakes of all times (who needs stinkin brakes??)...If you did itbas a Cafe, you would need to put a Blower with Nitrous on it..LOL ..I have NEVER been able too keep one of my own builds!!!..Somebody always comes up and offers (in my mind) ridiculous money and I cave in and sell it..You look good and so does the shop!!!..Keep Wrenching!!...👍👍👍🇺🇸

Looks like an Indian market bike from the early 1970's.

Like the B31 compared to the BSA B33 and the majority of Brit working class reliable transport singles of the day, the Enfield 350 bullet was always a sweeter, smoother and even more bullet (excuse the pun) proof version of its larger 500 brother, with not a lot of performance difference on the road. Unless you were hauling the wife and kids in a chair.... Good vid, thanx, ps you're not getting any younger, keep the back end a springer imho, but a longer wheelbase, i'm 60 later this year, much as i love my rigids, i just cant ride them any distance unless its billiard smooth tarmac.
