A Quick Comparison of an s400 frame 83mm & 96mm exhaust wheels

When we first started building our trucks, Rusty and I spent tons, and TONS of time trying to get a handle on different types of parts and how the looked and would effect out trucks. The problem was, while there was some info on the forums, it often would get contradicted or was unclear. There was even less out there in the way of video comparisons. So we hope to share info that might be able to help guys so are searching for info.
This is a quick comparison of an 83mm and the far more common 96mm exhaust wheel. Very interesting, not just in seeing the size difference but also the difference in the shape of the two wheels. They are clearly made to do 2 different jobs. If you happen to be a turbo exhaust wheel expert, I would love to hear about the "why" behind the structure!
Anyway! Hope this helps shed some light on the exhaust wheel you might be looking at...

Thanks guys! Rusty and grew up here on the farm and we picked up the name from our parents. There is pretty much nothing that we can't break. We have managed to tear up things that it really SHOULDN'T be humanly possible to kill. But, there is an up side to all of that. Since we were the ones to break it, it meant that we were the once to have to fix it all. We learned some pretty mad fixing skills along the way. We figure the old name ( which came from my ebay name from back when ebay was brand new) might be confusing people that we were into cars (which we love cars) and not so much the diesels. We wanted to reflect more of what we are actually doing on the channel now.

Hey Dakoda! We have used both of these behind a 5.9 12v Cummins that we built up and put in a 3rd gen Cummins. We started with the 96mm exhaust wheel and then moved to the 83mm wheel to try and help with spool up. It made a pretty good difference with response time on a 7000lbs truck.
