I'm after having a few people ask so here's a quick look around my messy little workspace. The place I spend 80%-90% of my waking time

What a wonderful tour through your space, Kevin. Thank you for showing us this part of your artistic life. I was just thinking that when I grow up, I want to be like you. You are a superb artist. You teach me that one can do art with little tools, but lots of desire, sight, and doing it.

AcDc of course only the best band in the entire world, looking out your window Kevin it looks a very beautiful place you live in despite your messy work shop , we all have one of those rooms 😀 😉

They are for sure. It's a nice and quiet area to live. As for the mess I clear it away once in a while when it gets too much for me to handle. I have so much work to do so I just keep the chips under my feet cleaned up

It was interesting and fun to watch. Thank you for sharing! I was surprised how small the area where your projects and videos are made is. I always imagined you were sitting at a large table, lol. Anyway, I'm impressed and I enjoyed the 'quick trip...'!

If I can walk in and back out I’m good. I use the wood chips to start the fire in the wood stove. Thank you

What struck me the most is at 0.52 seconds start of the video, just outside the window, “pile of woods”. . . lots of it, years of supply 😄. Thank you for the tour Kevin, they were messy alright, but it shows that you have a lots of ideas 💡 to work with. I do keep a vacuum cleaner close by when I’m done.
@KevinCoates98 Жыл бұрын
Dan, at the end of the day I have time to sweep up the chips and that's about it. Believe it or not, the wood you see won't be used for carving. Sawlogs for some boards I need and firewood for the winter. Thanks
@dancarpio8130 Жыл бұрын
Just a wild guess, yes winter just few months away. When I do faces Kevin, mostly it’s your tutorial demo that I refer to. Do you sand your work after? Stay safe as always Kevin.

Thank you for sharing and the validation Kevin. I live in a small apartment and always felt somewhat inadequate as I have only 4x4 feet for my carving area and have to saw my blanks outside on the balcony. I feel much better now. But the important question...when do we get to see a video of that glorious Santa at 0:23 seconds
@KevinCoates98 Жыл бұрын
Thanks Joe. It doesn’t take a very big space to whittle. I didn’t do a video with that one but maybe I’ll get it

What I meant to say was I’ll do a similar one for a video if I get a chance

The way I look at it, if you had a big shop you would have a big messy shop. I am happy with my small shop now. I've had big shops before and like my little 16 X 16 shop now.

Great tour of your inner sanctum! Myspace is smaller but equally messy. I call it random organization. Looking out through the window i saw some logs outside, are those for burning or woodcarving?
