Well, thank you once again, Kevin. Typically it’s hard to follow each proportionate cut like this, but I was able to see exactly what I’m not doing and what I could be doing! Very clear and methodical. I appreciate your acknowledgement of us newbies. This video will be viewed often until what I’m doing comes automatically rather than tentatively 😀. I’m excited!

I love the sound track! .... I find good videos to be very annoying when they are over amped crazy music that just makes me turn the video off and find a good one lol K thanks for the sound of wood being carved

Hey, Kevin - Have you experienced the difference carving between northern white pine and southern yellow pine, and if so, what were your observations? Thank you!

The only different pine I have carved is Jack pine which was very hard. I don’t know if it’s all like that. The other one I use is the eastern white pine which is very soft. I carve this all the time

Kevin Coates Apparently, you prefer the eastern white Pine over Basswood - may I ask why you selected Pine above Basswood? Thank you !
