Good to see your DIY stove in action. Your companion has really fantastic eyes! Beautiful Bride was secretly squirreling away some pesos to treat the family to a short vacation she felt we all needed, at a local resort near our Philippine home. Surprisingly, she found a place that offered more of a wild camping experience. than what you would expect at a resort. The sleeping kubos were an A-frame design but constructed completely of bamboo and thatch. When you take a hike away from the pool, recreation area, and sleeping kubos, you are entering the jungle. It was a great experience for all. I brought along a Trangia and a DIY alcohol stove to brew "real coffee." I think the staff was a tad in disbelief that I was not consuming 3-1 coffee sachets! I made a batch of cowboy coffee and several runs of drip coffee over the holiday. Locally grown coffee, freshly ground and brewed out in the wild, really does taste better!

That was a lot of coffee you put in there Jim. When you first started stirring the cup it looked like beef gravy 😂
