Just a little insight into a day I might spend alone - foraging for Wild Chamomile (Pineapple Weed) and Wax Currants. At the end of this video I share some of my thoughts on my lifestyle, and what drew me to leading a life of simplicity and quietness. I have not yet mastered how to live this way, but every day I feel greater abundance and love. Hugs to all!

Ilove being alone,it's just me and my Yorkie,diamond, my husband died,on active duty when he was43yrs.old,and now iam 62,never remarried,I love my Lord,and Savior,my time in the garden,books,my tea,and nature to the highest.ihave a great family,they live in big cities,and around the world, and i live in a small town with beauty around me..the caring for one another and what's important in life.that inner peace.&your heart.

I'm very sorry for your loss, but know how lovely your day must be. I too enjoy spending time in the Word, in my little garden, reading, taking in nature, and finding companionship with my dog and two cats. When I need to be around people, I find a way to volunteer to help, before retreating back to my peaceful life. Blessings and grace to you.

you are absolutely right, I finally bought a few acres in the farm side of the panhandle, after 8 deployments I can say my state of Mind and blood pressure has defently improved. only issue is the countryside is not as community based as everyone thinks unless you're family has routes established

You are so right. I've carried chaos in my head (anxiety) for 20 years. I've spent the past two years teaching myself how to calm it down. It can still occasionally kick my teeth in but I win more than I don't. It didn't know what stubborness was before it picked on me. 🙃😁

This is literally my dream. I’m a very introverted person since I’ve struggled with mental health and bulimia. This is like a fairytale to me, like a way to escape. Your videos make me want to just go outside, sit under the tree, and write a book as the sun sets. Your videos have helped so much with panic attacks. Literally same, but I live in California and finding someone with similar values is like finding a needle in a haystack. I have a rough 3 year plan to go off God willing....but even if I don't find someone willing to do it with me I'm still gonna go for it.

@@qreua_3075you'll find someone. There are plenty out there that want to do this, just takes time to make it all come together. I would encourage you to get out of Cali sooner rather then later, but I understand if financially it just doesn't make sense yet. I live in AZ right now and plan to move to somewhere in the Pacific Northwest in a year or two. Possibly Northern Idaho or Oregon, whatever land I can afford really. This video hit home. I've been studying 6 hours a day for the past 6 years to be the best at my firm, but I do feel the need to let it all go and move somewhere cozy, live in harmony with nature, and be myself. Ever since I was a kid I was dreaming to have this beautiful house near a lake and be surrounded by nature. Now I know that this "house" I was dreaming of, doesn't have to be a palace. A simple, beautiful cottage will do. I need to find a place like this..

Congratulations on your recovery (from "civilization")! As a life-long "nature-girl" and introvert, I had always aspired to live as you do. I escaped Brooklyn as soon as I could (mid 20s) and have steadily progressed to living as close to nature and as peacefully and remotely as possible. Now, in my mid 50s, I am in graduate school, making a career change to become a therapist. My goal is to use nature as much as possible to help clients find peace and healing, no matter what their challenges might be. I am adding your channel to the top of my list for "homework assignments" for clients - other than forming a direct relationship with nature - to aid them in finding peace, serenity and clarity, and to help in restructuring their paradigms. I'm also an Early Childhood Educator and watch one of your videos before my ten hour shift with 30+ children. It keeps me so calm and in the moment. Yes. Ten hours. Thirty. I watch one on my 30m lunch break too. I'm also making my days off slower and more meaningful so thankyou so very much. I'm studying nursing as well and next year I'll graduate with a job in ICU (that's the plan). Imagine the stillness I'll bring via you to my patients and colleagues. Very special. I get it. I as a child would go out far into the woods and embrace the trees, the coolness as I lay in the moss, and the soft breezes. Not feeling alone and truly at peace...peacefulness. I'm so glad young people, like you, today are finding a way out of living in a fast pace world with so many high expectations. It warms my hearts. The Lord said keep your eyes simple. See...this way of life helps you connect to all he has created to give and sustain you. I'm 61. I used to want to be around people. Then I met some destructive ones, including in my own family. Now I am happy being by myself, with my dog, settling into a small place in the desert countryside.Various wildlife come to my bird feeders, I raise sunflowers among my small yard and watch the sky instead of TV. I love the quiet life, after a not so quiet life. I don't miss the chaos or those people. Love watching your videos. People can be stinkers. You are not missing much, and saving yourself from drama queens and kings. Good for you!

I find your channel very soothing. I live on a rural mountain acreage in a cottage-style cabin with my husband of almost 45 years, chickens and a cat who adopted us almost 6 years ago. I rarely ever see anyone other than my husband and on rare occasion, one of my sons. I love wild birds, flowers and herbs; we grow a good bit of our own food and preserve it, just put up a good bit of jam and pear butter from pears grown here. We made a purposeful choice to live away from most of society and other than my KZfaq channel and ones I sub to, plus the long-running chicken forum I have been a member of for almost 15 years, I have no social media attachments. I was asking my soul, what do you need? And it replied “I want to sit quietly living 100% in the present moment. I was a bit pushy to start doing something but my soul was alright. I spend 1 hr doing absolutely nothing than staying quiet with my own spirit. Ps. Don’t be afraid of the quiet times as it’s where you find peace. :)

I was not expecting that ending with your speech... I plan to become a university student as well, as I am very ambitious. I am absolutely liberated by your channel and your journey. I am growing a greater sense of understanding how much beauty are in the little things in life. We can get so caught up in the modern way of doing things, which modern isn't bad, but it can be so relieving to take a break from that every once in a while. Thank you for helping me realize that. I'm what is called an ambivert (new term I learned lol). Sometimes I need to be around people, but often I really need to be alone. As a single mother, I can't even get bathroom time alone. For now, I live vicariously through you because I would love a piece of this at times :). Beautiful home!

Yes as a preschool teacher I often find myself in similar situation, especially when it comes to bathroom time! We have 16 kids in our classroom, it can get hectic. These videos are my escape from long work week as well, I’m glad we can find little moments to recenter 🤍

I am the happiest when alone. Do not need people around but have been made to feel strange and anti-social for it. In a few years i am gong to find my small cozy space to recharge but also think of how i can help my community without losing myself or my space. I love simplicity and quiet.

Your videos are reminiscent of one of my favorite movies, "A river Runs Through It". I grew up in Montana, similar to this setting (Not too far from where you are) and can't imagine living any other life.

Great stuff CF. I left the corporate lifestyle after 20 years, around 6 years ago. My life is so much more fulfilling. I now work from home part time and am a watercolor artist. Perhaps this way of living is not for everyone, but I have found my true self and spirit in this mode. 💖💖💖

Miss Paola. I have previously written to you today and suspect you won't see this. That is okay because I just want to tell you how much I appreciate your stories because I too, am pursuing a slower lifestyle. I came from a farm (in Southern Alberta, Canada) and discovered how displeasing city life can be. I made the decision with my wife to move to an extremely small community. I'm now a land-owner with a very large garden in the works :) I am also on the volunteer Fire Department which is an honour. My point is that I appreciate you and your channel, because it develops that calm sense of peace but at the same time forcing the question's, is this life for me? and, how should I proceed knowing that the life I am currently living, may not be fulfilling to who I am. Thank you for your inspiration and attention to detail. It does more than you will ever know, and I hope that brings your peace knowing the impact you've made (in a positive way of course:)

This makes me question so many things... Stressing about my dissertation and finding a job after, living in a country where right now I don't feel very happy, I miss the nature and feeling comfortable with myself. But I don't know how to get to a point like you.. It all costs money and sometimes seeing these videos make me feel stuck, like I could never truly be able to silence my mind and achieve the point of true happiness.

Nothing wrong with being comfortable living with the friendship of your own self. If we cannot love ourselves, have the best relationship with ourselves then how are we supposed to have those relationships with others? We think that we need many friends and acquaintances to feel good enough. I can see, feel, and hear in your videos that you already are there. You are more than enough being you without having to live by someone else's ideal of success or how your life should be. If we all had that inner peace that you have we'd be a much better world. Oh and besides this is how humanity once lived, and we had more inner peace ✌️ back then. I love your videos they are so soothing to the soul 🙏🏻

I am absolutely in love with your videos. They are such a breath of fresh air in this hectic world, and I the words you said at the end really resonated with me. I too spent my late teens and early twenties overworking myself to save up money and fit the societal ideal and felt very disconnected from my spirit. Almost one year ago, I moved out west to the Okanagan valley (which looks very similar to the mountains in which you live!) and have found so much peace here living rurally. To be able to spend the day sketching, gardening, reading, and wandering in nature brings me so much joy, and I really don't mind being alone because I am now able to find so much joy and abundance in my own heart. I am hoping to maintain this slower, quiet lifestyle for as long as it resonates. Thank you for sharing these beautiful snippets of your life with us, and for being such an inspiration to be more mindful about how we move about and relate to our world. ps.
