Those who are not interested in Indian culture and traditions and not interested in India as country, but interested in power, position and loot will do gimmicks . The same political parties who are not interested in Manu smriti never tried to increase women candidates in elections. Modi did so many things for the nation and India got respectful position among the countries in the world. Indian laws were more women friendly before the rule of invaders and the present conditions on the freedom of women were brought by the British rulers and their laws. And if you have any doubts about it try to read the editorial pages of the times of India written by well known lawyers
