This motorcycle review is on one of our personal bikes, and it's a weird one! Shaft Drive, 4 valves per cylinder, ABS, and a unique transmission!

I have one and i'll never get rid of it. SOOOOOO much fun! The weight limit is really just a suggestion, as my wife and I weigh a lot more than 323lbs. We ride everywhere and have never had any problems whatsoever over the last year. Mine also came complete with Givi luggage and lit with LED lighting, so we're very much lit up for safety. Most motorcycles today have a rev limiter allowing their rides to only go up to 100 mph. I'm looking forward to pushing by them when they stomp on their rides, just to see the looks on their faces. They don't live close by, but are coming out here next summer. I can't wait. Thanks for your in depth reviews Marshall, I really enjoy them.

I passed my bike test in November and, literally the second I got my certificate, I searched to country (UK) for one of these and bought it the very next day. I love it so much! I'm not interested in racing around or touching my knee to the road, etc and I've owned automatic and electric cars for years because I'm too lazy for gears. At my age I just want to chill and relax my way down the road and just enjoy the journey in comfort and this bike does that. I also love the fact that I'd never even seen one in the wild and, apart from mine, I still haven't. And, like you said, everywhere I go, even if I pull up outside a bike shop for some gear, EVERYONE stops to look! I know there are other bikes I've got my eye on in the future but I think, regardless of what else I buy, I'm not letting this one go ever! My dream bike for my first bike is the best feeling. Annoyingly, while the algorithm has chosen to show me this video today, when I was actively searching for DN01 videos in November this one never came up. Which is a shame because this would've been easily the most relatable reviews of this bike out there. And your description is exactly how I sum it up. Looks like a sports bike but it's not that fast. Sit like a cruiser but without the power. Twist and go but it's not a scooter. It kinda isn't anything you can box in..... But what it is is super comfy, super fun and super sexy! Oh, and I made sure I bought one with the luggage frame so I've got the top box and the panniers, which actually really suits it. Sorry for the long comment. I just really love this bike and thoroughly enjoyed your video. 👍

What an amazingly unique Honda bike with lots of human friendly features.

I've always liked them, but even more so now that you explained about the transmission. I like odd ball bikes and I think it would sit well next to my NM4 and Fury.

A fellow in our social club has one because he has Motor Neurone Disease and sometimes his left foot doesn't work so well. He plugs along on it and keeps up with everyone whilst touring. It's a great proof of concept, but would really outshine if Honda brought it out as maybe a 1200cc tourer with luggage options. I think that it would really suit older or disabled riders because of its low centre of gravity and appointments. Great video

Not a scooter. It's an automatic hydrostatic drive motorcycle. They are a good deal now though that they have depreciated. The only drawback is the unavailability of a taller touring windshield. A great bike. I've never had a need for a seat pad though. It was ahead of its time and too expensive for the market back then. Phone mount onto brake master cylinder.

My local Honda dealer actually has a used one of these on the floor right now. As a guy who likes both scooters and motorcycles, maybe I should take a closer look at it. I could park it between my Helix and my NC700X to complete my weird bike collection.
@QuietPlaceswithMarshall8 ай бұрын
It feels like a much faster bike than my NC700x. You'll want a better windshield, but it is worth collecting.

I like it because it's different and a bit goofy. Curiously here in Au I've only ever seen them in red.

It's perfection, along with the Pacific Coast.

I actually like the CSX which is a more of a touring version of the 1300 sport tour bike but it sets a lot lower

If cruise control and a tall windshield could be fitted I’d want one. I’d love to see Honda build a DCT bike between the Rebel 1100T and Wing, would be perfect for my needs.

EXACTLY! Bring back the ST1300, make it a twin, and coat it with less plastic. A light-weight touring bike.

Great bike, but I wonder: 1) how many mechanics or dealers would be able to do maintenance or detailed repairs on one and 2) how many miles per gallon does the bike average as I didn’t hear it covered in this video.

I don't know what it's like getting parts. It's a Honda though, so oil and tires are all it has needed since 2009. It gets 48 mpg unless wrung out on the 84mph interstate in Colorado, then it's probably 42. Mileage is based on the riders hand. I reserve the right to not cover every. Single. Detail. In a video on a 15 year old bike

The funny thing was Honda dropped the price here and they sold quite well for a time, I think that Honestly Honda could bring them back with a better seat, better windscreen, TFT dash and the ability to take a pillion they could put in the Africa twin engine DCT and it would be great 👍🏻 it was the price that turned people away as at the time there was a lot of other better options
@ridingwithmarshall8 ай бұрын
I escrow them to put this transmission and shaft drive on the Africa Twin.

Fort Collins is a big place so where is your creek/canyon/whatever where you filmed please?
@ridingwithmarshall8 ай бұрын
I often go up The Cache La Poudre Canyon to get away. It's a peaceful ride, and climbs to over 10,000 feet. There are not many places to stop, and only a two places to eat, so it is typically a great place to ride or camp. Both of my moto-camping videos take place there, and a few Fury videos.
