Dear fellow young doctors, never feel ashamed to tell a patient that you are not sure what is going on. Our senoirs are there to be consulted. A teacher once taught us never to be ashamed to even refer infront of a patient.all other professionals refer infront of their clients.

My mother went through the same thing. Its a silent disease that eats at you from the inside out and very complex to explain to people. I’m surprised its not widely known because I had no idea it exists until someone I loved was affected by it. It resulted in Grave’s disease and Myasthenia Gravis. When you feel something is wrong, listen to your body.

Misdiagnosis kills a lot of people. Have encountered one with my mum and the pain, time and costs involved are unbelievable! Doctors should know that it's okay not to know everything and so, they can consult fellow doctors! Thanks for sharing Dola, wish you better health.

Oh my goodness! I have the same condition, the moment she talked about her symptoms the doctor in me was like oh boy thyroid mulfunction😂😂😂.. I had a misdiagnosis for a whole year,, like I would jump from hospital to the next takind drugs and not feeling better.. The craziest diagnosis I got was brucellosis🤣🤣 and the most common would be bacterial infection.. Long story short, I got the right diagnosis, but the drug dosage was crazy and the meds I was taking had volumes of steroids that my body didn't take so well, I had part of my thyroid removed last year and am fine now though the process is so lonely.. I just hope to stop taking drugs one day and be healed completely
