Rosalind Dyer (guest star Annie Wersching), a convicted serial killer on death row, surprises the LAPD by leading them to a fresh corpse. As they try to find out who the second killer is, she insists on speaking to rookie Officer John Nolan (Nathan Fillion). Watch 'The Rookie' SUNDAY 10|9c on ABC.

2:17 I love this foreshadowing. In the following episode, Nyla assures the rest of the officers that Lucy is alive because she knows that the girl will fight to keep herself alive long enough for them to save her. And later, instead of fighting back against Caleb when he orders her to go into the barrel, Lucy complies, but secretly drops her ring which Bradford later finds, leading to her rescue. The level of faith that Nolan and the rest of the officers have for each other is incredible.

Can we just take a moment and talk about Annie’s impressive acting. Her acting is chilling as she is playing a serial killer. She plays it splendidly well, she knows how to get into your head. She is such a pure talent, and I admire her ways of acting. May she please rest in peace❤️‍🩹

Well, earlier Chen explained the brains of people that are capable of doing the things that Rosalind has done operates very differently from typical people. Something in them that was there from birth or from some traumatic experience.

Udi Baraj yea Stana was known to be really really rude to Nathan and other cast members on Castle and then attempting to blame it on Nathan which is why they fired her from Castle in the first place....however if she were to come on the Rookie she should either play Nolan’s ex wife or some sort of major foe to Nolan that’s gonna rock his entire world. God don’t honor ugly

Check this actress out on general hospital 2007 she played Amelia Joffey a daughter out for revenge against the young woman who killed her rich father! She was very good and in the end gave up her need for revenge because the woman who killed her father was suffering her own hell by the very bad choices she was making and that was revenge enough!

@@DomainOfCybersmith She's shackled and allowing a weapon leaves the possibility it can be used against them. It does seem highly unlikely they'd allow him to go in with a firearm especially on his own. They'd have guards on the door and I imagine some watching as well ready to move in to restrain her but allowing anyone to bring a gun in allows her to get in arms reach of said gun and if she can somehow break free of her shackles then allowing her a gun seems like the worst idea after that.

I feel like her lines aren't good enough. Especially the line where she has to say that she likes to see how her actions horrify people but it doesn't get her as high as the murdering itself. It feels like a line better delivered by another character making the observation. Her saying it makes it seem like she's trying hard to come off as really cold blooded. Or when she was talking about eating pain, it sounds kind of cheesy to me.

Nolan's captain taught him that it is not his job to punish the criminals, just bring them in to be punished. Besides, as an older rookie, he is able to keep his cool, as he has probably dealt with snarkier people like Rosalind before.

The police department is doing standard procedure of recording a high profile investigation; this a serial killer who may give key informational details to officer Nolan during the interrogation. It's definitely not a camera for filming the tv series, The Rookie!!

She's in full body restraints, and those restraints are chained to that bench. This isn't at the prison, or even in one of their interrogation rooms. For some reason they are interviewing her in the processing area by the holding cells. Probably don't have a "standard operating procedure" for that, and as long as he stays out of arms reach, which he does, then she has no shot at anything.
