@@TheSeriousRunner but a friend of mine that runs a Turkey trot every year told me that carbon plated shoes don’t actually do anything. The elites only wear them because of sponsorship reasons. I think I’ll save money and just run in my old converse high tops!

It's hilarious to me that they still have the trials start in the late morning, as if it is a "Highly Anticipated National Telecast" - long distance is a niche sport. Start at 7am so the runners aren't suffering so much. 🫠
