Gotta agree here! I love the idea of the weatherproof Kangaroo pocket with elastic external straps for longer objects. Idk about you but I hate most external carry loops. It's annoying to deploy/tighten down now your gear is still exposed. Even though the elastic loops don't cover your gear still, if your gear is compact you can put in it the protected kangaroo compartment. But also there are 3 pairs of external carry loops which outclasses every other backpacks' bottom external carry. If you haven't looked into the Tropicfeel Nest yet, I recommend doing so because they have the same Kangaroo/external loops. Plus they have a unique solution for front external carry that also ditches the loops and hook system

I believe Pack Hacker have also done a review on their channel, and usually that includes at least 2 weeks of use. I also have the Shell in black, and love it! Honestly, if I had done all the backpack research then that I've done now, I might not have purchased it, but I caught it at the Kickstarter phase and was super stoked to get it. I haven't been able to do too much travelling, but from what I've gotten out of it, I know it'll be great and don't feel the need for another backpack at all. The wardrobe piece is really only convenient for an overnight or weekend trip, when you're not going to need to pack a lot. The pack itself is super comfortable though, and while it's juust a little big for me at 5'5", it fits my partner pretty well and he is 6'1". I really like how well Ed has highlighted all the features of the bag - great vid!

It's really not that big, lmao. I certainly do understand your gripe with aesthetics, but I saw this bagpack on someone and thought it was cool, hence I googled for it, watched some reviews and then bought it. They do work as an advertisement (duh), so companies aren't likely to get rid of it

I own this backpack and yes this bag is fairly heavy for a day pack. Combined with the internal wardrobe thingy, yes it’s even heavier, hence why I regretted buying it. Another downside is the side stretchy thing does stretch after a while and didn’t get back into its original shape leaving them fairly loose. I found the kangaroo pocket can be useful to store sandals or flexy travelling shoes but my hiking shoes would be too big to fit in. The stretchy thing underneath is basically useless after a while, the elastic band stretches and stayed stretched it won’t hold anything. The fidlock pocket is nice but when the bag is fully loaded I found it to be protruding and doesnt look good attached.

Don’t get me wrong. I do love the bag tho… I love how the opening allow me to over pack it and the clamshell opening does come useful when travelling. I never use the wardrobe system because it adds like 1kg into the already heavy bag in itself and it actually forces you to overpack by the compartments design. I prefer to use packing cube instead.
