Hi, I am the proud owner of the Mercedes 190C in you great video. The 'slats' in the back window are Gradulux Blinds made in a small factory in Perpignan in the south of France. They first started to producing these Venetian type blinds in the 1950s mainly for the Citroen DS. They are adjustable and help keep direct sun from the rear seat passengers. (The days before Air Conditioning) Thanks for a great Video.

Thank you ever so much indeed for watching and commenting! Such a beautiful old car, I don't see many of the 190 Fintails at all, the ones at shows tend to be the larger engined cars. It was packed on Wednesday, but I suspect that next month will be even busier!

What a wonderful collection, all those marvellous cars and their owners going to a country pub and sharing their love of classics. Terrific video, and I would love that Daimler XJ40. Thank you, sir!

It was very busy, sir, but I have seen it even busier. You weren't the only one who was very tempted by that Daimler....

Lovely evening of Classics. Starring the Austin Healey 3000 . Such a classic sports car design. The TR7 and TR8 are the 1970s interpretation of the genre. My Dad's Uncle owned a cream coloured Mercedes Benz 190 Fin Tail in the mid 1970s . That was a glorious car.

Mr Lloyd, the thumbnail alone was brilliant. An XJ40 Daimler would definitely suit you.

Sir, we enjoyed ourselves very much. If I see this car again, we will see if we can speak to the owner and try not to buy it.

@lloydvehicleconsulting Speaking from experience, pre-1989 cars are better. Those early digital dashboards and electrical systems can give problems, but nothing Mr Coleman can't sort out, and of course, common rust spots. Generally, on the whole, XJ40s are wonderful cars to own and enjoy and surprisingly economical to run.

The MG is wearing a Bermuda hardtop as used in " Dead mans treasure " episode of the avengers, i knew i had seen one before. 👍

Yes, as confirmed by the owner after I had finished recording! I know large parts of the script for that episode (which was in production exactly 57 years ago this week) and visited virtually every location used in it, so I knew the MGB had the start had one, I just couldn't work out what it was called. It looks slightly too old for this H plate car, for some reason, but on the earlier car in "Dead Man's Treasure", it looks better.

They certainly were interesting to me. All the sports cars were appealing. 3:20 MGB with that roof: I have never seen one like that. I think the 3:56 Mini Clubman would be very nice for me. Small, cute and more practical than the Mini saloon. Morris Minor convertible at 4:31 is just charming. Of course! The Triumph TR7 at 6:20 is a pleasing shape but I understand they were poorly manufactured. That is a pity, Its dashboard instruments look to be numerous and impressive. The TR3 right next to it is more classy. The Rolls is superlative.... . enough said. I feel guilty about not "liking" Porsche cars. They obviously are beautifully engineered but they are too Teutonic for my taste. What IS to my taste is the Daimler at 13:15. Elegance, style, class. One might almost say, as Jaguar adverts did, "Grace, Space, Pace". The Wolseley at 14:30 might not have the above attributes but it certainly is charming. As is the MGTF right next to it. I have always liked the styling of the TF. 15:58 Austin 7. Dad either owned one or was very familiar with the model. I wonder how many here have seen a car started by hand-cranking: I HAVE because Dad did that with one of our cars. At 24:00 the Triumph Spitfire, with that hinged bonnet, must be so easy to work on, as for the Herald. I think it was a great design idea. Maybe other designers should do the same, 24:58 Jaguar XK150 classic. 33:11 MGB GT. Very nice! I have always preferred the GT's shape to the MGB roadster. 33:55 lovely Jaguar! It looks to be speedy. That was a smashing show. Lots of variety, lots of class, lots of interest.

Sir, there were a lot of nice cars there the other evening. I thought that you would be amenable to many of them. Everyone seems to have absolutely loved that Daimler, the owner is actually younger than me, as far as I could see. The first MGB you saw has what is called a "Bermuda" roof, which was normally optioned by MGBs from the 1960s.
