I owned them for 1 year after listening to many reviews and i have to say your take on the subbass is a bit harsh since they deliver some fun tuning in that region I've never experienced before, their delivery on live recordings is a stand out for me. Right now I'm testing the Chopin and the og Blessing2 and its they have a very different presentation, def more oriented technical clarity at the cost of some fun and ambient FX. The B2 bass is embarrassing to those in comparison and I feel like a whole dimension of sound is missing. One thing understated in many reviews is how easy to drive the P5 is compared to most sets. The power to output volume ratio is very high compared to the other offrering in the market at similar price range. having room on volume means I've enjoyed them with any device.

Great review. I have pulled the trigger on this one. Before this i was targetting the Hexa but finally decided on the AFUL P5. Hope this is great for Heavy metal (my primary genre in my library).

Hey have you heard audiosense t800? It's old now but its been discounted heavily for $170 & its one of the very few all ba with great bass. I would love to know which to go for t800 vs performer 5. I have been loving timeless for a while is performer 5 an upgrade over it?

Is there an iem that is very analytical and natural tuned without excessive tremble ? Like ATC speakers for example.?I listen classical music and I like to observe the instruments and the orchestration and most iems under 600 fall short or have too much tremble that changes the timbre of the instruments..

is it possible to use heat to make the tearing of the faceplate easier?

They're on 11.11 sale for $179.99 and it's very tempting even though I'm treble sensitive. But I'm wondering if that is affected by other factors like overall tuning or specific frequencies. I also noticed that it's much worse when I'm tired. Btw, I love my little ES100 mk2. It's starting to die so I'm going to buy a replacement battery to keep it going. It's a shame most people would throw it away.
