I've read that cats generally don't meow at each other because they prefer to communicate by low-frequency sounds, and they realize humans don't hear those so they meow at them specifically, so every single meow was directed specifically at Vanessa, every one of them a tailored "pls die" just for her, and I think that's beautiful

This isn't entirely true. It's a relay thing. Some sounds have different meanings than others. Low-frequency sounds I'd imagine are less threatening, but also harder to hear at a distance. Close range greetings. Cats communicate a lot with body language as well, so they don't meow for that reason as well. While yes, they have developed their meows mostly for communication with humans, a lot of Mayo's sounds in this are sounds of distress, not hostility. He's calling for help, not making verbal threats. I'd assume the help calls are aimed at his people, hence the volume of some cats' loud "death cries" they're sounds of "HELP ME, I'M BEING ATTACKED BY A PREDATOR" To clarify, it's not until the brush comes out that he starts actually making verbal threat sounds.

@@hd-xc2lz trimming cats claws is not a good thing. Makes them feel anxiety and less able to defend themselves. Scratching is a very important thing for cats. Invest in some scratching posts and leave their murder mittens alone

"Thy" and "thine" mean "your" and "yours", and paying your own price doesn't make much sense in this context. Also, if you really did want to use "thine price", then it would need to be "thine own price" instead because the subject of the sentence is "Thou". If you changed "Thou" to "I" or "He" (or anything but "ye" or "you"), then "thine price" would need to be "thy price". "Thine" is used by itself and before words that start with vowels; "thy" is used only before words that start with consonants. Also note that whether a word starts with a consonant or vowel is determined by pronunciation and not spelling. She mentioned in the 1st vid with mayo that the he's a regular but the pandemic screwed with booking meaning he wasn't able to be groomed on his normal schedule. I believe she also mentioned in that vid that the cat is lazy with self care and doesn't take to being brushed at home (explaining why the cat is a regular for professional grooming and why the cat came in the state it was. )

my cat will never be this calm when getting a bath. We had to wash him when he decided to fight a skunk, we had to use 2 jackets, double winter gloves and it was a job for 3 people.

Mayo still registers his complaints with the management; however, at least he did not give up on life in the tub like he did the last time. Also, it appears he enjoys the warm blow out, now. Cats and warmth. Peanut butter and jam.

He’s probably made the association between grooming and less matting. He doesn’t like the grooming, but he dislikes it less than being matted.
