We took a trip to Kitale to showcase this white, beautiful 3 bedroom house in Kitale. The clients wanted a permanent home back at their hometown and this is what they built. It cost Ksh 5M (USD 37.8K) including finishing. Enjoy!

Henry is cheating, just encouraging you to start, with Rutto economy, big no no. Be telling people the truth! If roofing i.e mabati is 350k, normal mabati, versatile, 500k. And the rest just judge?

As a interior finisher and a painter let me just give my feedback on few areas: whenever you still painting, never install water taps, sink, doors and sockets till all works are finished. And also when you done the tiling cover the entire floor some ceramic are hard to clean off the paint.

@tricksandbits9185 very good observation. Believe me most people don't seem to think about this or they just go along with what the contractor tells them. You end up with messy tiles,walls, you name it.

Wow! This is beautiful bungalow home and gazebo on the farmlands of Kitale in Trans Nzoia County of Kenya. I love the architecture of the homes and finishing💝💝. Thank you Nick for showcasing and that was a good interview with Bw. Wambua of Kingdom Pre-cast Ltd and the builder gentleman. Very inspirational to say the least 💯💯🙏🙏.

The house is beautiful . The only thing I would change is wider and longer windows . I love floor to ceiling windows . More light and more aeration for rooms. Otherwise, this is a great job ❤! Beautifully done !

Nicely done and affordable. I love that roofing and the fireplace. Only the kitchen and interior door flames (wood works) need some improvement

Why to houses in Kenya rarely have shower cubicles! That whole thing of the toilet getting wet is not nice, terrible idea otherwise the house is nice but please incorporate glass shower cubicles to stop the whole bathroom getting wet. I find that revolting

My parents house built in 1971 never renovated have very spacious showers with a wall divider running parallel to the bathroom wall, no glass at the entrance but the water can't splash outside of the shower.

In kenya, people primarily use shower curtains. Incase they dont leave a pole to hang it just install one. All for the cost of less than $50

How does this hold up against calamities like floods being experienced now? Talk about insurability as well.

With floods, your house's foundation must be built correctly. Precast panels are an alternative to stone blocks but not your house's foundation. Ensure you build your foundation according to the design specifications done by your structural engineer.
