Seth you can get a plug adapter for your tool and vacuum that will automatically turn the vacuum on whenever the tool draws power. Then you don't need to lean down and turn it on every time... or be like me and end up with dust everywhere when you forget to turn it on.

Put in a door to your voice booth. The amazing way to do it: Put wheels on your "Not staircase" and cut the door behind it. re-bolt the stairs to the door and add a latch so it doesn't open when you don't want it to. That way, when you want to open the door, the stairs and the door would open and swing out and close as a single unit without losing any space or having to move anything. (keep the craw hole so you don't get locked in)

As a tank crewman I can tell you climbing into a hatch, no matter your size, is easier then crawling under something like a desk (atleast if you have back trouble like I do...) I would put a hatch up top and mount a ladder to either wall and boom done. Either way, love the content. I would love to get back into biking and your channel is definitely taking me there. I live near mountain creek and the trail map on your wall is as inspiring as your channel. Thank you for your work

Just an idea here, maybe make the door like a false bookshelf and have open outward, but instead of bookshelves, you have storage racks and hooks for your gear!! Simple design, easy to build and hidden away from eyes!!! just make sure to include some caster on the bottom of the door so it will last.

I’m glad it was your first time I wanted to be keyboard building inspector when that last video came out about that top step. I’ve done that too. The bottom rise needs to exclude the tread height, and the top rise is taller, because the plywood on top isn’t as thick as the 2x treads in the middle.

@@kostasgnt remember that TTI makes Milwaukee, orange Ridgid, Hart (walmart) and Ryobi. I used to use Porter Cable until they stiffed their customers by discontinuing the 18v line to go to incompatible "20v" batteries even though they are the exact same batteries.

Quick thought on your sound booth. Mod your stair/coffee bar to be on heavy duty casters, put a piano hinge on the outside corner and latch opposite the hinge. Essentially you have a rolling swing out hidden door to the booth without losing your stair/coffee bar. Easy peasy.

A shop that big needs a 60 gal air compressor in the corner with air lines and chucks located in different spots of the garage so you can use different Pneumatic tools wherever and for whatever kind of project your doing. Then have a chuck that feeds to sand blasting station so you can clean down old parts and frames to restore. Just a thought. I'm a bike guy and a car guy so that's the setup I have. Love the videos man.

Hey Seth, you should try a motorized height-adjustable desk so you can get easier access to your sound booth! You can use the same top you already have and attach it to a sit-stand desk frame. Then you can easily save your height settings so you can move the desk all the way up or down to its current height with just a touch of a button. I have a floor sample I can give you so you can see if it'll work better. Love your channels and garage btw!

I have a DeWalt framing saw, a drill/impact set, and an electric chainsaw. They're awesome! I use those out in the woods, but use the smaller lighter stuff in the garage. Also, often times we need duplicate tools when others are helping. DeWalt was by far the best choice for me because it's available at Home Depot, Lowes, and Ace hardware. None of the other brands are as easy for me to get accessories for, as Home Depot (Milwaukee & Makita) is so far away.

It's all about batteries... Once you buy into a system just go with it. Tools are basically free, just buying batteries most times. Tho best Ryobi purchase ever is this little portable electric pressure washer. Otherwise I use Makita because batteries...

@@BermPeakExpress , Hey Seth, Ridgid has a Lifetime Service Agreement for their tools purchased at Home Depot that "provides the original owner a lifetime of free replacement batteries, free service and free replacement parts". I haven't used it personally but I went with this brand because of the LSA and longer warranty, you should check it out. A tier above Ryobi and as readily available at HD.

Meh the quality on many Stanley Black and Decker brands such as DeWalt have also gone down since they all merged into one conglomerate. I'm giving my money to Makita, Japanese since I also love my Toyota's for their quality and lifespan and Japanese dirtbikes like my Honda's and Yamahas

@@sebastianjost you'd be surprised how many regular pencil tips you'll break on course wood, the whole purpose is that you can strike horizontally and keep the edge because the lead is much thicker down the shaft

Put the coffee cabinet on caster wheels. Mount your cabinet to the “possible new door”. Your cabinet stays functional, it just pivots as you open the door to the recording studio.

Has to be a right door. But if you make the cabinet a door, how do you close it? The handle must be in the cabinet, so it is hard to reach. Also, swinging the cabinet may mess with the stuff in it. Spillages and electrical work may bot be a great combo

Yo, quick thought- Build a voice over area in the attic space after you build a set of stairs outside gouging us to it so you don’t ave to crawl under the desk. Or cut a hole in the ceiling along the wall next to your computer and build a ladder going up and have a pole next to it to come back down. Just an idea.
