totally agree. In my country people upgrade their engines with M57s, since they are bulletproof engines, they also go for a ZF 8HP gearbox, again, they are bulletproof, twin lockers for better grip, and so on, yet this car already has them. This is crazy good

Justin seems like a good bloke. Laughing at the crusty old guide (I'm in my 50's) "how many times did i say don't go though it, about five times I said don't go through it". . Fark off old mate the boss man said go through it! Good stuff on being invited boys. Always love your content.

I totally agree. I would’ve told him to head on back to the retirement village. As Justin said, “It’s what it’s designed for”. I do think it definitely needs to be on at least 33’s to give that dampener a little more clearance. A suspension lift can be easily achieved by simply adding Eibach springs. Ronny Dharl done so on the loan one he has and reviews extensively on his channel. Also I reckon the Silver coloured one looks tough as 👊🏽

The best part of this video is that you actually got stuck. Most manufacturers won’t let their vehicles look bad. That, in my mind, made the Grenadier look that much better. The most robust trail I had the one I drove on was an industrial dirt road near the dealer (here in UT, USA) that was rutted up due to truck traffic. It felt great on the highway and equally great on the rutted dirt road. I suspect you would have made that bog work with a bit more momentum - and it seemed like Justin would have been cool with letting you go at it that way. Great sign that they’re not too worried about these breaking too easily. Very appealing package. My first time on one of your videos, but you guys, too, are obviously great at this. I hope to see many more of your videos in the future.

That guy in the other Grenadier wasn't too happy, wasn't he? 😁 So lucky you had the big boss in the car with you. But kudos for being recognised by Ineos. Goes to show how much big brands value the quality of your contents, and your social media reach. I just hope as your channel grows, you still stay to your roots. As for the Grenadier, it is a compelling alternative vehicle to the norm. The $110k question is, if you were in that budget range, will you choose it over a 300 Series Landcruiser?

As someone not in that price range I’ve gotta say that yes I would take this over the 300. This won’t dust the turbos, this won’t suffer the heat soak issues the hot V engines have and it’s not compromised by the two different styles of suspension on the car. Having said that, another review shows that the 300 has better TC than the IG. You’ll need to spend more on the 300 to get the gear this already has. It’d be hard call to make and I guess, for some buyers, will come to who you’re trying to please with the purchase.

Justin, what a legend! He knew his stuff, wasn't too proud to address the obvious competition to the Grenadier, address the reality of what the car is and isn't and didn't load up his spiel with superficial, useless propaganda. And he let you go through a puddle that the rest of his crew wanted everyone to avoid so that the car didn't get "slightly embarrassed" by getting bogged. Hey, these days all the ruts are 35inch tyres-deep, I can't go anywhere with my 32's anymore, so no shame in the factory stock Grenadier getting hung-up. Great vid guys, honest as always.

@@12angryrealists 60K miles and no issues with my Gladiator. With a good amount of moderate to low end hard wheeling. Funny how despite being so unreliable it’s usually Yotas and Ford’s that break on pretty basic stuff on the trails. Everyone just goes to the reliability meme but never talks about that time their Yota was dead bc of a dead alt due to stupid design placement of it, or that time their tie rod broke or they blew up their CV or their trans overheated. Or that time everyone had to turn around on a trail bc their rig wasn’t built for it. Granted we don’t have the 70 or 79 here which is a different story, but yeah, this Grenadier is nothing new or special in the States. Im glad it’s here, don’t get me wrong, it’s just tough to get uber excited about it here, given what we have had for decades and the price. Oh, and good luck getting itfixed in the boonies here in the US, both parts and a mech who knows all the euro parts are going to be hard to come by.

@@dadventuretv2538 60k miles 😂. Jeeps are good for rock crawling within 100km of your home and/or dealership. No one with more than half a brain in Aus takes them remote. Old man had a Jeep that broke a cv joint in Cape York and a diff in the NT on pretty standard corrugations. His nostalgia for Jeeps died after the second issue and he ended up in a Prado with zero issues going 13 yrs. Aren't your "Yotas" made in the US? Sorry, but anecdotal evidence from a Jeep owner doesn't hold any weight around here. 70 series have a rep for being worked hard for 500k miles in primary industry with a bare minimum of maintenance and issues.

The vehicle looks very capable, however, like Liam suggested I really think bigger tyres would be the go, but would you then have to adjust/change out the control arms etc? How Mr passive aggressive coming to your window “your radio on mate “” LOL … should have given him the old “ don’t you know who I am !! And who is in the back “ … great video - looking to replace the wife’s y62 as she thinks it’s too big /wide .. this might be a good option but I won’t get much change from 150k but I do get the wife’s y62 so not all bad 🎉

Great video, got a good feeling for what the vehicle is like. I can understand their concern about the bog hole, it's easy to scratch up the rims, sliders, undercarriage etc in there.

another fun video. lucky guys to try out a new vehicle.the company picked a top engine for this bmw is pretty hard to beat. im still laughing that you guys had the boss with you. he shut down the the other crew pretty quick.all in all top video .I did see a write up earlier this week about that vehicle but it was no where near as comprehensive as you guys did, admittedly the write up did not have a vehicle to drive lol.again top video 👍 .

Despite how good or bad the car is... I believe you guys did a great job with creating this video... it became different from any other vehicle review videos and was very enjoyable to watch... just wished if it had included a bit more 4Wheeling... Happy to see you guys in touch with such a car manufacturer name

Who was that absolute spanner in the santa beard? I bet he's the kind of fella to take out his anger at the juniors working the till at the local Maccas because "Big Macs used to be bigger in my day!". You boys couldn't have been more polite, asking permission every step of the way. What a knob.

First thing I did with my 1978 International Harvester Scout II was take it out to a Florida swamp and get it stuck. Had to hire a tow truck with a very long winch cable to get it out.

Just gotta say was impressed with your video and also Justin and his knowledge and good attitude, great review! I am pretty interested in getting this car in a few years once they have ironed out the quality of its finish from factory (some stories of trim not fitting right) and a stronger accessories market. Plus more long term reviews on durability. Also for insurance prices to reduce and for the car to be more easily registered throughout Asian countries if using it for cross country overlanding

great video, review with the boss too. alot of useful information about the brand...dont like the 2 minders who say you should check your radio and dont go though bog hole - they should eat their words...I looked at alot of other australian review videos but your video tops them all.

Another slam dunk of a video lads, you definitely pushed that grenadier to its limits, and even stock still doing the job well. Do want to point out the tyre size and correction; 265/70/17 is not a true 32” tyre but a 31.6”. Why am I specific? Next year VicRoads and VICPOL are updating the rules and now becoming more strict with everything, so that grenadier can have a 33.6” tyre at most but not a 34” without engineering. Be a beast with that rig on 2” lift with 33s on 16” rims and just have at-ing it on the tracks.

1. Driving on an almost flat unsealed surface for most of the video 2. Got bogged down in the first bog hole, couldn't get across, get criticized, apologise profoundly, backed out 3. Praise Granadier is such a great off-roader

The front doesn't have much articulation, it could use more clearance, and I think there are better choices for engines, but besides that, it seems fantastic.
