You can also use thin ca.glue to hold it in place until the epoxy sets.

I personally wouldn't the starbond thin tends to gunk up the inner workings of the knife it's just makes life easier in my opinion to just use to epoxy

Beautiful knife, I am definitely going to give this a try. It will take me a while to assemble what I need but it’s going to happen. Love it. Where did you get the gem stone ? Question: would it be easier to shape the stone on the scales then transfer them to the knife ? I would be afraid of cutting into the brass.

So the stone come from copper canyon lapidary and I always put the stone on the knife then shape them. Cutting into the brass is no concern because you can use the cab king to remove the scratches from the brass as well.

Bucks are hard to do that but sand it down from 150 grit up to 1000 grit sandpaper, then buff it with a felt wheel and zam
