Only Human

3 жыл бұрын

From the remote control to the family cat, the Alexander-Bapties have lost track of everything inside their home… And when it comes to managing the mayhem, Mom is on her own. No one takes responsibility for their stuff… And no one lifts a finger to help out. With a home-based business, busy family schedule, and overwhelming backlog of laundry and collectibles, the mess has become unbearable for all. That’s where domestic diplomats - Kim Woodburn and Mike Chalut - come in. Determined to clean up the mess, they vow to set the family straight, teach Dad and the kids to pitch in, and restore the house to working condition… But can they get the family to work as a team and take responsibility for themselves?

It’s honestly the mom and dads responsibility to TEACH their kids responsibility. The kids don’t just know how to be tidy on their own. They need to be shown and then the parents need to be consistent to hold the whole family accountable. My oldest son is 6 and can clean better then most adult men. No excuses parents.

I'm still trying to figur out which strategies are the best way to learn the kids to do little chores like put their toys back in baskets or helping me folding their clothes. Irresponsible children clearly raised by irresponsible adults. There’s a rule: when your kid is old enough to tear out things, they’re old enough to clean it up. However, the father clearly wants to be part of the kids and doesn’t want to raise his children properly and clearly that’s a generational fail. The teenage girl would have much more interest in paying attention if you turn off the internet and her cell phone that I know she doesn’t pay for.

If you don't teach them how to do things, they really don't know how to clean up after themselves. When you have such a big mess, you really don't know where to start. I do think the little guy might have tried but gave up after not knowing how to tidy up. So daunting when you have so much to go through.

When my son was small he had to pick up his toys and clean his room. I asked two days. Day three I put a box in the room. I said pick it up, or I will put it in the box one day. If it’s not put away, I will give the box to Good WILL. THEN IT WAS REALLY GIVEN AWAY. Give his clothes and toys away once, and they were put away after that.

They should do a several months later revisit on each home like they did on their other show: How Clean is Your House. That told the true story of how effective the cleans were, and unfortunately, most of the time the effects often only lasted a little while. In most cases, it's one key person that causes most of the issues. In this case, the husband is the main problem here, or at least the source of it.

Sorry but seems like mom had never taken the time to teach her kids how to clean and put things where they belong. Seems like moms the only one who knows where things are. Her personality is why they treat her the way they do. Shes an enabler acting like a victim.

The thing is that if you keep doing thkngs or complains about your kids work all the time, then you will have to do everythjng forever. Parents think that kids will start doing chores out of pity once they become older, or will start doing it just because. That's such of a lie. Kids have to be taught, have to be demanded and have to learn respect. The father clearly doesn't respect anything, and the mom gives in too much, making everything for the children. Let them suffer a bit, fhs.
