A unique Saraswati Temple in 1,080 years old NaritaSan, Japan!

3 жыл бұрынToday in Japan, we visit Narita San (also called Shinshoji) a Buddhist temple built in 940 AD. Inside this huge temple, there is a smaller temple of Indian Goddess Saraswati. On new year, this Saraswati Temple is offered eggs, biscuits and alcohol by the devotees and pilgrims.

Imagine offering alcohol to saraswati in india (education) 🤣 but i respect their culture and faith its awesome :)

In Japan, they make a special alcohol that's specially made just to offer to the Gods. Even in Northern India, in 'Bhairon' temples, alcohol is offered. There is a famous one in Gurgaon. But yes, Saraswati, no chance!
