Hello Tony. Thank you for you amazing and informative videos, I haven't found any others as useful! I only wish that you had family-friendly/kids friendly versions of the main attractions in the major destinations. As amazing as your recommendations appear they seem geared to adults mainly. We will be exploring Portugal and Spain with 2 kids, age 8 and 10! Even so, thank you for all the practical tips we will surely use!

Thank you, Agnes. On this channel we share first-hand experiences. As we don't have kids, nor dogs, nor drive a camper van, cannot produce that type of content, much as we would like to. Kids in particular are an incredibly tricky subject, as no two kids are alike. There are kids that will go wherever their parents go, others demand a tailored itinerary. All the very best to you!

Thanks, in most bars you will share the actual bar, but sharing tables is not that common.

Great info! I visit Spain all the time but it's confusing as a tourist to know what real tapas are when there are 100s of bars/restos catering to tourists. You have to do research to find an authentic tapas bar

Great info as usual. You mentioned Vigo in Galicia, what would you consider some classic regional tapas there as we will be in Vigo in about 9 days. Maybe specific places you can recommend?

Hi Dave, in Vigo you should go for anything coming from the sea: mejillones, zamburiñas, navajas, pulpo, percebes, almejas and a myriad other delicacies. We don't have any specific recommendation but there are a couple of streets right in the centre of Vigo where you will find many bars serving those tapas. Have a great trip!

Great advice as always Tony, I am visiting Madrid next month with 2 friends, would you order raciones to share between 3 or order a few tapas?

Thanks, Michael. It depends on the specific tapas you are ordering, some do not come in the form of raciones. It's all down to the food your order. Do remember you can always play it safe and order more if you are still hungry.

excellent video Tony, very informative.. visiting Spain in May 2023 and actually we are from India and we are vegetarian.. so can you please help us with any good restaurants with vegetarian food in Madrid, Barcelona, Seville, Malaga, Valencia or Ibiza.. if you dont have much idea about it then no issues.. thank you in advance

Hi Deep, as you will understand, we can't produce a complex guide to vegetarian restaurants all over Spain on a commentary box. But there are vegetarian restaurantes EVERYWHERE. Our "menús del día" videos on Madrid and Barcelona include some.

Thanks for your practical videos .we are visiting Spain and Portugal from 28june-18 july23 and renting a camper to see both countries. We start in Barcelona go to Portugal and our tour ends in Madrid where we fly to Cape Town Can you please advise me of ssome kind of itinerary and love to see more of the rural areas than the cities. I am looking to tapas at the end of this month, but worry about catching Covid (before the cruise). Will have to look for bar that has outside table, and come in early. Is there a good one in Zaragoza?

There are plenty of outdoor terraces everywhere in Spain, even more so during the summer months. We like Dominó at Plaza Santa Marta.

That could be the case with very traditional family-run bars. But it is not the case with most tapas bar by all means.

Some places in tourist destinations will have English translations for the names of the tapas. But explanations are hard to come by. We plan on recording a tapas dictionary in the not so distant future.

In tourist cities like Barcelona or Madrid, quite a lot of restaurants have menus in English. But not all of them. In less tourist destinations, English menus are hard to find.
